Lucky me.

Very difficult to come up with a single answer. Think it would be one of Taxi Driver, After Hours or Goodfellas for Scorsese. And Dr Strangelove, Full Metal Jacket or The Killing for Kubrick.
Kubrick had a very inconsistent output, for my liking, unlike Scorese. Barry Lyndon, for example, almost bored me to death. Not a fan of 2001 either. And the less said about Eyes Wide Shut, the better.
After Hours. :) Interesting choice. It's not all the way up there for me personally, but I did enjoy it a lot and thought it was great to see Scorsese do something different. Have you seen The King of Comedy?

Me liking After Hours that much probably has a lot to do with when I first saw it, I think. Lower expectations, a Scorsese movie without gangsters, no De Niro, etc. The effect could very well have been a lot different had I discovered it, for example, yesterday.

Saw The King Of Comedy as well. Another great one, but I can't shake the feeling that the central performance is actually better than the movie itself, not unlike Raging Bull (Does that even make sense?). De Niro used to be so brilliant.

It definitely makes sense, but I'm just not sure I agree. :D

I just watched End of Watch. I'll recommend this to everyone, very nice watch. I like how the characters felt real, rare in movies like this.

I didn't really like full metal jacket.
The first half is pure perfection, the second half was a bit of a letdown. :)

Do we have to watch it three times or is one time enough?
