It required you to suspend some belief at times (rules wise), but genuinely doesn't need to be that realistic when the actual film making was that high level and fun in the racing scenes, it made you super invested to every shot and turn. Really well shot and done.

The plot isn't new, tho I liked how they used actual races and drivers fates as bases for several of them, mixed and matched a bit.

Tho only weak point of it all was the love interest story, but they didn't dwell on it, and both characters were likeable, so it's no big deal (it's contractual in movies like this). It didn't feel that cliche, more genuine. Only scene that felt cliche was the poker scene really.

I seen rush many years ago, and I definitely think this was better for sure. The actual racing scenes is so high level. Other movies may have better plot etc, but these super tense racing scenes carried the movie.

Its basically Maverick top gun (2nd one) but for racing (And maverick is super fun experience). Because the action scenes were peak. Which makes sense, because they said they consulted Tom Cruise for how to do the races, and The perfectionist daredevil told them to film it like this, exactly how it was in Maverick.

I watched The Master. The movie itself has some badass acting. Phoenix was literally shining throughout the movie and I think it was one of his best roles. However, Anderson did not convince me there. It was filmed pretty neatly but it was just lacking something. I found it to be quite boring in some parts and to lack purpose.

The Royal Tenebaums was pretty much average imo. I absolutely adore Wes Anderson's style and unique mark he's leaving. The color pallet is beautiful as always. I find it quite remarkable how after watching 10 seconds you know it's his film. In my opinion it's The Grand Budapest Hotel as his best piece where everything came into its place.

I also watched Volver recently and I really enjoyed that one. I can also praise Almodovar and his unique approach and more calm color pallet. Like always, it's his red color that marks the movie. It's funny how his films are also very unique and weird but in a good way. It was very pleasing and fun to watch. Oh and I'd totally bang Penelope in that period. Hot as hell.

I URGE everyone reading this to immediately watch the F1 movie soonest you can.

The absolute best sports movie. Technically made and perfectly paced and filmed, like you in an actual race throughout.
Really? … I don’t know. I haven’t seen it yet but really? Maybe I’ll check it out. “Best sports movie” Better than Raging Bull? Any Given Sunday? League of their own? He got game? Rudy? Etc.

For race movie, maybe it’s better than “Days of Thunder” and “Driven” with Sylvester Stallone? Surely it can’t be better than “Rush” with Nikki Lauda’s unfortunate incident in green hell and James Hunt’s cunning ambition, intrepid attempts of reaching the top of the drivers championship.

Wasn’t really interested when I saw the trailer, I’m a big fan of F1 as well. Just haven’t been a fan as of late with the way things have been with current campaign. Then when I saw that Brad Pitt was in it, I sighed at Hollywood a little bit. I’m a big fan of Brad Pitt too but I just couldn’t buy into it when he showed up for this one.

I guess I’ll reserve my judgement and check out this cinema film. Thanks.

Several days ago I ran into Letterboxd website. It's pretty much like IMDB. Apprently only for movies and not for TV Shows. But I was shocked how popular the site it, looking at the number of the votes. I have to say I'll be using it very often so I thought somebody might like checking it out.

Yesterday I watched Inglourious Basterds. It was a great movie, but what interested me most about it wasn't the plot, but rather a few wonderful scenes that captivated me. There was a scence when Hans eats strudel and also the French dialogue, it's it is captivating, after seeing this scene for the first time, I immediately went out to buy strudel and cream and had it with coffee. I've watched this a dozen times and it still doesn't get enough!
The idea of making strudel came into my mind since yesterday, I have never tried making strudel but I'm gonna try it. I have a German military uniform and a pair of black gloves Mavros. I'm going to make strudel and wear that military uniform and in the meantime eating strudel.

Is that really your uniform?

About Inglorious Basterds; imo Major Dieter Hellstrom is the most scary of them all. Don't get me wrong, Hans Landa is scary in his own way as a detective. But he's not a real Nazi, but more of an opportunist.

Major Hellstrom on the other hand is a total fanatic and it comes to show quite a few times. Especially in the wine cellar (if I remember it right) where he decides to take them on right there in stead of finding help

I want to buy a new one like the uniform that they wearing in this movie. The problem is this type of uniform is only available on private and online retails in my location or black markets that I haven't managed finding a trusty store that give me the original one. This film is so wonderful that most of its sequences give me a fantastic feeling, and by imitating them, I feel like I'm living in the years 1940 to 1945.
That German three scene I always imitate in the cafe. When I order espresso, I always point my three fingers in German and tell the barista to bring us three espressos.
The truth is that by making these films, they intend to portray a dark image of that era, but not only did they fascinate me with Hitler's Germany, they also inspired me to imitate them, and I know very well what happened in that beautiful era. I'm reaching to the point where i decide to hitlerize myself.
