But it's all because of the "occupation". No doubt, without the "occupation" the middle east would have been peaceful long ago. After all, it's been so peaceful before 67'. Or 48'. Gaza since 2005 is the perfect example for how much the Palestinians only want to live indipendently. It's so clear that if Israel simply give up the West Bank, there will be no more war.
you just took two events that took place where at the time, would also happen anywhere else in the world in that era. we should at least be relieved they werent all out pogroms.

and yes, the middle east would at least have been a bit more more peaceful regardless of the shit storm we are seeing now

But that's what you're saying, aren't you? That all those stabbings, all the wars, all the violence from the Palestinian side since ever is simply because of the "occupation". That that is the source of evil, the cause for all the trouble in the middle east. That somehow Israel is to blame that it's citizens are being slaughtered like pigs. The Palestinians are the victim here, and if Israel stop the occupation all this violence will come to an end.

Only that's not the case. I truly wish it was. Becasue a day will come and the Palestinians will get their state. I have no doubt about it, it is inevitable. And as much as I would like to believe that that would be the end of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it simply won't. Because it was never a rational or logical conflict, it was never a conflict about oppression or more land or even the holy places. It is very simple- the Palestinians (and most of the Arab world) can't stand the existence of Israel, the existence of a Jewish country. Above everything else, it has always been a religious conflict. Even when the Palestinians get their state, what then? Palestine and Israel will live side by side peacefully for the rest of time? Unfortunetly, no. The Palestinias won't rest until there will be no more Israel.
    Poland miss you so much.

I recall when Arafat was still alive, Hamas was not supported, and he was trying and trying to get international aknowledge of the situation.
But no. We got a dildo shoved up our ass for something terrible that happened 70 years ago, so we dont dare to respond to them.
Today Hamas even got politican support, and support of significant amount of palestine people. Thats how much Israel has been assholing about and we just fucking let them.

Fine, the germans are in their right to not talk hard to Israel. But whats the goddamn excuse of the rest of europe ?

Got to love the arrogant, deluded superiority some of you Europeans still cling to. not to mention the hypocrisy.

Beside Germany and the UK you guys are just not relevant anymore to global politics, the world has moved on and Europe is refusing to accept it's no longer the center of it (let alone places like Belgium ..)
You may not agree with some of the things Israel does (even I don't, a lot) but we are not some backwater, failing country who needs your guidance and approval to survive and prosper, that's what we have the Americans for :D

Yes the European Union is completely irrelevant. Which is why so many people are actively trying to get inside. And surely Belgium, where the EU is headquartered and which is one of the six founding states of the European Union, is most irrelevant of all.

Much better to live in a country where women are raped and then jailed for extramarital sex. At least they can drive, right?

Israel might be an abomination, but by god, the surrounding countries are all just as bad if not worse.

Might be my English but you lost me there, what do you mean?

And the European union is mostly an economic entity right now and will only last as long has it benefits it's member countries and the economic gains out wights the disadvantages and nationalistic tendency's . It's influence on global politics as a whole is marginal at best as its strongest members have their own foreign affairs agendas that on many cases collide and take precedence over holistic "European" agendas.

Not to mention this all European union thing pretty much rest solely on German shoulders, Mozambique can also be a founding state for all I care when it means nothing.

Yes and no. Look, we both do not like Israel. But many muslims talk as if Israel is the biggest evil on the face of the Earth when the fact is their own countries are morally retarded compared to Israel. And it does matter because it gives the West a way out. Why talk about the evil of Israel when you can point at random beheadings in an Arab country?

Then I don't think you really understand Arabs/Muslims gripe with Israel.

How would you feel if we took say the Kurds and made them a country in Belgium, they started expanding all the time, throwing Belgians out of their homes, forcefully exiling them, so that they become refugees around the world, and building settlements in their place. This expansion keeps getting bigger and bigger as time goes by. Say they build a democratic country(only if you're a Sunni Kurd would it be really democratic though) there, but they treated Belgians like third class citizens. How would you feel about such a country?
