No way. He is one one the best holding midfielders in the world. I still don't want him though, I think we are covered there with Zanetti and Nocerino. Zanetti isn't as good as Gilberto but he would make up for that with his serie A experience

He is better than Zanetti but Gilberto would cost and he would take time to adjust to Italy, and he wouldn't necessarily be as good as he is in England.

I feel that with Tacchi and Zannetti we have enough experience for DM and I think that Sissoko is ready to be a starter next season. Sure he is raw but he developed quickly at Liverpool and after a couple of months of adjusting to Italy should be ready to start most games.

Face it, coming to Juve isn't that attractive an option at the moment. Gilberto is good but no huge loss if we don't sign him. I would prefer Sissoko, mavuba or both.

While you are clearly being sarcastic you do have a point. Why should a player who is happy at a CL club come to Juve for the same amount of cash to not play in the CL and join a team with a lot of uncetainty about it? I don't blame Fring s for not coming as long as it is for football...

Gilberto is slow already so it is unlikely he will get worse with age, I think he could play at a high level til 35 if he wants to.

He is very good and I think he would definitely choose us over Newcastle unless he is a total fool. We should make sure we are in position to get him if Arsenal decide to sell him.

Giannichedda is out of contract in the summer and is not being offered a new deal which is why it is known he is leaving. Unfortunately means that we will not get a fee but at least it makes wages available for some younger players.
