I think you can be proud of where you're from. I am lucky to be born in Canada but still I have the choice to join or reject what most Canadians stand for. But since what they stand for is usually righteous (or some other pompous word), I choose to join it. And I get a sense of pride from that...

Trump got anti-establishment votes. Those same people would have voted for Sanders too. If the DNC nominated Sanders they would have got all the democrats + the anti-establishment crowd and the election would have lasted 10 minutes.

Hillary is more of a criminal than Trump and would do worse things in office. Trump will do bad things but he is the lesser of two evils. He is after fame, she is after power.
