Finally watched Whiplash. You were right. Loved it. Simmons was fucking amazing. Best acting performance of the year in my opinion. The only ones even close were perhaps Haluk Bilginer in Winter Sleep, Liao Fan in Black Coal, Thin Ice and Timothy Spall in Mr Turner.

Just finished watching The Elephant Man. It has to be one of the best work Lynch ever did. But then what a pair of amazing actors in Anthony Hopkins and John Hurt.

Just finished Whiplash. Fuck what a film! JK Simmons was brilliant and Miles Teller kills it in the lead. Really hope it wins Best Picture just to make Hollywood cry.

So far my 3 favorite films for this year are Whiplash, Birdman, and Gone Girl.
