Oscars are proving to be retarded once again. No ralph fiennes, no jake gyllenaal, no night crawler for best picture, no intersteller, no bill murray but American sniper gets nominated? Bradley cooper was decent but not oscar worthy. Trent reznpr deserved a mention too for his score on gone girl.

Hope whiplash or the grand budapest hotel win best picture

Michael Keeton for best actor
Jk simmon fot best supporting actor (best performance of the year imo along side Tom Hardy in Locke)

I thought Cooper was extremely mediocre in that movie. That's not good acting.. that was such a weak role that not even best actors can perform good. It's nothing but pathetic to see him being nominated for it.

And yeah, Jake Gyllenaal killed it in Nightcrawler.

Seriously still cant get over the fact Bradley cooper got nominated ahead of Jake Gyllenhaal and Ralph Fiennes thats just insane. This may be a bigger travesty than the acclaim Boyhood is recieving. Cooper was great in Silver Linings playbook but he was nothing special in American Sniper it was a pretty straight forward role.

I cant remember who said it but i heard an actor say once that movies awards should be like 5 or 10 years after the movies are released because it takes that long to see how a movie really stands. I know for a fact Boyhood will be forgotten about before the end of the year and never spoke of again. Films like Whiplash, NightCrawler and The Grand Budapest hotel will age far better.

I wonder if a movie like Locke was even watched by anyone from the Academy. Apart from JK. Simmons in Whiplash no one came close to being as good this year. Although i have to admit that i'm yet to view The Theory of Everything but without meaning to be too rude the dude playing Stephen Hawkins was already a gimp to begin with so he didn't have to do too much work he was pretty much made for the role. Joaquin Pheonix was great in Inherent Vice he was also twice as good as Cooper.

I thought Michael Keaton was great as well. Bradley Cooper was strong and he got muscles, but Jake G was stronger and lost like a ton of weight.

I like Bradley Cooper but he's overrated. So is Jennifer Lawrence.
Cooper was great in Guardians of the Galaxy. Giving his voice suits him the best.

Jennifer Lawrence was probably hyped because she gave good bjs to directors.

(btw I think Bradley Cooper was pretty good in Silver Linings Playbook. But good.. that's not even worth of Oscar. But American Sniper is just lols)

His voice is amazing and he has a fun joyous character. He's not that good an actor and definitely not the sexiest man alive :bianconero:

Jennifer Lawrence was good in Winter's Bone and been an overrated annoying character ever since.

Cooper's not overrated. Aside from Silver Linings Playbook he was also great in Limitless and American Hustle. I haven't seen American Sniper but it's not his fault it got nominated. Movies like that always do. Just like last year with the slave movie. As long as it's a sad story, you have the upper hand. Not his fault he got nominated and it doesn't diminish his acting skills.
