Japanese New Wave people. Seriously. Everyone needs to board that train. Oshima, Teshigahara, Yoshida, Terayama, Hani, Imamura.... So many amazing and fucked up films out of Japan in the 60s and 70s.

I watched Eros Plus Massacre and then Throw Away Your Books, Rally in the Streets last night. Both brilliant.

Dead Poets Society - Pretty good, I enjoyed it. I liked the ending, sort of nostalgic.

Boyhood - I liked this one too, shows the stage of growing up and it was really well made.

Princess Mononoke - Masterpiece. Miyazaki is a wizard and one of the most creative guys around.

The Bridge on the River Kwai - Enters the list as one of the best movies.

The Barber of Siberia - Pretty great, underrated movie.

I'm not the biggest fan of Princess Monozindykukubugaloo, but The Bridge on the River Kwai is greatness. The kind of epic Hollywood film that takes the time to tell the story you just don't see anymore.

Yes, it's surprisingly entertaining. A good, modern summer blockbuster.

Valhalla Rising was awesome imo but its not for everyone. Its from the director of Drive and Bronson. Im sure youve seen all the main stream ones Gladiator, Troy, kingdom of heaven etc.

I liked the tv series Vikings and Rome and i loved Spartacus. Disneys Prince of Egypt was good too when i was younger

Im sure you have seen the classics like Spartacus as well. Thats pretty much all i can think of off the top of my head if theres any good ones anyone else knows let me know because i love this sort of stuff.
