Riddick - A mixed bag. First 20-30 min were quite good, then it goes downhill. Still, could have been much worse, some nice designs & Vin Diesel just IS Riddick. On the other hand, Katee Sackhoff may be really easy on the eye, but she's also a bad actress.

Pretty Bird - Fairly disappointing & boring, despite an ok cast.

Frankenweenie - Enjoyable. Not Burton's finest, but definitely not his worst either.

The Innkeepers - Loved it. 2 great leads that you actually believe, nice atmosphere & build up. Even the creepy scenes worked, simply because I was so into it. Though I imagine you wouldn't like it if you're not willing to immerse yourself.

Elysium - Average. Definitely a credible enough world, but what they do in/with it is somewhat disappointing. Even more so if you look at the people involved.

They are all pretty much the same movie. I laugh at them because i usually enjoy that type of humor, but if u didnt like part 2 then i cant think of any reason why you would like part 3.
Yeah, I didn't like the second one for that reason. It just felt like a recycled version of the first one in a different location, so I hardly laughed at all. I did like the first one though.

Just came back from seeing on the cinema, mixed bag is putting it perfectly, but basically I got what I expected, some cheesy fun, Riddick (the character) being shown on screen in a convinging and more raw/primal way then Chronicle edition was (Vince Diesel is born for this role, just wish he could work with someone who got give him more to work with), and get a little glimpse of the dark setting of Pitch Black with the horrifying creatures. It would been nice this director continued with the raw setting of the first 30 mins for sure, but in overall it was entertaining simply because it was more of the gritty Riddick being Riddick (was nice how they played him up as ze boogeyman). I usually dont care about dogs dying in movies, but I really enjoyed this alien dog, fucking Santana (even if I knew it would die since its first scene).

Starbucks is awesome :D It kinda felt she was still playing that character in this movie ;)
