Speaking of Turkish films... Have you seen Clair Obscur? It's brilliant. And what do you think of Yeşim Ustaoğlu? My second favourite director from Turkey behind Nuri.

Haven't seen any of her stuff, you recommend Clair Obscur?

I love Fatih Akin's work, though that's technically German cinema but I especially like those works of his that are about the Turkish society.

Yeah, Nice Guys was hilarious. Had a bit of Pulo Fiction old school vibe to it.

Can you imagine they wanted to do it as a TV series first? Of course with not those two major leads, but kinda get it, movie at times felt like a pilot, an awesome one.
