I thought the trailer was very underwhelming. A big giant MEH.

I just don't like the idea of Batman and Superman in the same movie. Batman movies need a break for a few years and Superman has always sucked. Although I sort of like the idea of Superman coming to earth and being treated as a god by some and a monster by others. That could work for a movie, but they don't need to stick Batman in there.

Caught up on Wolf of Wall Street - open pants mode. 3 hour movie took 5 hours to watch. After a number of disgusting products (can't call them movies) were forced upon me by my "friends" I did not expect anything at all, but Wolf was a pleasant surprise. Not the most original story but some original scenes and a suited cast. And Randy from My Name is Earl yeaaay
Totally missed it was directed by Scorsese, so there I opened wiki to research on the cameos and it hit me. In hindsight one could have recognized Scorcese's style but I was too busy approaching the movie in a sucky mood and expecting it to be terrible. How could I walk past the "I introduce my crew to the audience" scene, the "I am the king of the world and taunt the FBI" scene, the "meet my trophy wife" and "hysterical fight with my trophy wife" scenes, the "I get caught, make a deal and start over with a honest career" scene without identifying the Scorceseness.

Must say i love the costume and the overall build (body shape) this batman has . He look scarier than his former incarnations which is just as batman should be . Just pause at 1:29 , that is not a dude you want to mess with .

Did you see this film yet? Another adaptation of a Strugatsky brothers novel, directed by Russian auteur Aleksei German. Apparently he spent the last 15 years of his life on it.

I saw it at a local repertory cinema two weeks ago. One of the best "sci-fi" films I've seen. Reminds me of some grotesque and phantasmagorical Hieronymus Bosch painting. Just brilliant.

Forget about it, that's not the right version directed by German.

I haven't seen it, no, but I read that it was disappointing since it was a film that's difficult understand for the sake of being difficult, and that it would be borderline impossible to understand if you hadn't read the novel. So I've kind of avoided it, but I guess that's a mistake. :D
