A couple of days ago I downloaded Coraline and wanted to check it out. But when I played it to check subs I was disgusted when I saw those horrible animations. That sort of animations I see on TV nowadays and I always felt like throwing up. Absolutely horrible and IMO worst out there. Having said that, I couldn't stand it and closed it instantly. Then I decided to watch Ninja Scroll as some 'brainless' action and it succeeded providing that. It was pretty good, enemies were cool and I enjoyed those animations old school ftw.

I also watched The Raid 2. Whoever likes action movies should definitely check it out.

Last night I saw The Iron Giant and it's hands down one of the best animated movies out there. And it's also a perfect example how marketing is vital and how it can screw you over. They invested like 40mln in it while they earned around 10 or so, so they ended up in a huge loss. Yet after so many years it's on the top with a nice story, nice humor and great animations. It's seriously top 3 out there without a doubt. I was pleasantly surprised.
