where did he "choke" for villa and the argies?
In the semi final of the Champions League against Arsenal. No I am not talking about the missed penalty, I am talking about both legs where he simply performed below average, spit like there was no tomorrow and crashed out.

In the Copa America 2007, he simply carried the whole Argentina to the final against Brazil to simply vanish, choke, disappear, call it whatever you want but Riquelme was no where to be found.

In some Confederations cup, I can't remember which an exact scenario to that of Copa America 2007 happened, also against Brazil.

I agree with the way Osman formulated it, he is a player that makes the team work, the players work for him and he sets the tempo and the decisions, once he's having an off game the whole team crashes. He happens to do that at important games, I have seen it a few times and that's why I call him a choker. Listen, I don't know why you insist on calling me a parrot for calling him that but I really don't care. I have put enough energy on this argument and it is really tedious, that's MY opinion about him and there happens to be a bunch of others that agree with me. If you want to consider me a parrot then call me Polly and give me a cracker.

Choker = Messi at the world cup, against Chelsea and against Inter
I consider Messi a choker at these occasions too. These three encounters are key encounters for the team and it won't be loose if one labels Messi a choker. Hopefully this won't irritate Deneb that he'll have to "put things in perspective".

Bologna could have points deducted for not paying their players.

also most importantly, what's the situation with AS Roma's new buyers?

so doesnt that make him less of a choker? think about it if you know you re the all end all and take on the pressure for the whole team every single game, and excelling at it too, its quite telling that we look for these instances. Riquelme had been magnificent that season for villa and no one would have called him a choker if at the beginning of the year you were told that he would take that team that far, had a less than stellar game but in no way were either legs chokes. As for games against argentina, you have to understand that argentina hadnt beaten brazil in a meaningful game in over 10 years. it happened before roman and is still going after him, the argentina team has simply a complex when it comes to brazil. Roman played plenty of significant and important games in his career and more than not he has delivered, if one has a problem with this personality that's fine but calling him a choker on the big stage is a joke. I said those who simply just repeat hes a choker this choker that without actually putting forth their reason are parrots. Your argumentation obviously answered that.

this style of yours is quite silly and cowardly, if you have something to tell me address me directly instead of dropping my name in other posts like this, i hope Alen doesnt mind me "sticking my nose in" here...

I have been discussing the matter with you, that post can also be considered a part of the discussion. It wasn't meant solely for Alen, it was an attempt to support my attempt to label a certain player a choker.

At Villareal, the whole side needed South American players and Friday fiestas to keep Riquelme happy.

Jack is right about this. He may not be a choker for Boca, but in Europe and in certain competitions, I'd say he was. As I recall, he also didn't have a good tournament in 2006.

did he go against germany? did he go in the 3 copa libs he won single-handedly(especially the last one)?
Germany? Well, I don't remember him being the brilliant player he can be, but I do know that they lost when he came off. Copa Lib, no clue :D

I really liked him as a player, I admired his style. But he always disappointed me when it mattered.

lol funny enough thats exactly the point of this conversation, being guilty of a cowardly act, which we all are at some point, doesnt make you a coward.
I really don't enjoy this bad reputation that cowards have, I think I should stand up for my people. Not too vigorously of course.
