I used to play for a team in the uni league. We were rubbish, and I was one of the worst players - my fitness was very poor at the time (not that it's superb now!). I played full-back, centre-mid right wing or striker. I was alright as striker but had no service, decent on the wing because I cross the ball pretty sweetly, okay at full-back because I worked hard (my positioning was rubbish) and outright crap in centre-mid because my control and positioning were too poor. I passed the ball okay though.

Concerning Sevens comparison to Women and men.Wen I was 16 I played in juniors for a Div-2 team wich is known for their good youth teams. we faced a Womens team who plays in the highest league,top 5 in the country. thought it will be though to face.But we won 11-2....And yeah dont let them fool you,they can play ugly I have never left a game so bruised up in me life,was quite down after the game even if I scored 4.

The thing is'nt that they suck.Some of them were more talented.But the psychical differences was obvious.Most of was in U-17 NT and was trained hard.we basicly outrun them all game long.Plus that their game Tempo is quite slow.Took to long for them to switch from defence to attack so it wasnt hard to close them down.You need mostly talent in football,but if you dont have much of speed then your screwed.

Regarding My footballing days,I played from age 6 to 18.In competive teams, played in NT u-teams up to u-18.Trialed out for some Div 1 clubs.But Injury after injury and not having time to train all the time made my fitness go down in all time low.and I didnt think it was worth it anymore.The most thing that made that i didnt try pro seriously is lack of dedication(heard it alot from coaches) and most importantly because I was lazy

As a player I played mostly winger because of speed,didnt like it much.Couldnt hold my position mostly and drifted alot centrally.Even if i scored now and then,I was more eager to pass then to finish myself so i mostly played deep centrally,roaming freely.Basicly a playmaker who didnt score much,like Rui Costa Because the coaches said I was the one with most vision, wich I cant understand because I basicly kept my eyes on the ball face down in 90 mins Hehe actually for some strange reason, I like passing more then scoring goals.One season I was played as a forward,scored 47 goals(was 13 so it was easy) but I was more happy playing as the playmaker next season.Its more satisfaction in dribbling 2-3 and giving the final pass then scoring a tap in.

Now I play in DIV-5 team who consist mostly of my friends,actually 8 of the 11 are my best friends,wich is great fun

I play recreationally, have been for most of my life. Played in a team when I was 8/9 but I'm not much of a team player and I love the freedom you have outside an organized practice. These days I'm quite out of shape but I'm working on fixing that and started playing again with some friends on a regular basis.

I play 5-aside indoors, I am "the rock" in defence who stays in my own half the whole game, makes crunching tackles and lives by the motto

We're currently sitting pretty joint top, played 9, won 8 and drawn 1 which was with the other top team.

5 games to go, two wins will see us up as top two are promoted

Thats the best thing playing with your mates because when you play one another you get practice and know everyones style of play. Then when you play for real with all your mates in you side against another team everthing just clicks like telepathy footy(thats what juve need at the mo')

You played winger. Thats a hard position. Need a lot of fitness. Over here its vital to have good wingers cause most attacks in england are created from winplay which I find boring cause I like the serie stlye attacks.

I wont boast about my OTHERWORDLY skills but ill say that I love playing football , whenever wherever.

I totally agree, thats why I quit playing in the pub league..its all the same, the keeper whacks it upfield, its flicked on and you hope for a defensive cock up so your striker can score..its boring as hell and terrible quality. I was moaned at once in goal for rolling the ball out to the fullback, attempting to encourage some passing play

If you think thats boring, you should have seen some of the swedish coaches I had, ultra conservative view on football. They said I should focus more on helping out in the defense and running without the ball all the time despite me being a forward.passing backwards mostly.They bored us to death,they even barred me and another striker to dribble much even if we scored and led by much.bored us to death until most of the players quitted.I have never seen a coach yell at me after I dribble 2 defenders and score.sick.

I played too, I even had a try-out in our local men's team... After our junior team's last season I was awarded as best player... that was like 3 or 4 years ago, I should have continued, but I was just too lazy... Nowadays I'm a coach for 12-year-old boys...

We play against Valencia CF, Levante UD, Villarreal, Hércules, Elche (210 km.), Castellón..., everyone in the state Valencia. Last year we played a tournament where we won in the final against Villarreal 1-0.

well while on my holidays, i played a few games for a small french village team....one game involved a game with the poitier fc youth team (under 18's)....i played, scored one and got sent off......but still impressed the oposition coach.....

I played 4 years, between 12 and 15, at the extremely humble local club here. First year as the main forward --I was taking advantage of my physical supremacy (I was slightly more aged than my category normally admitted, yes I was a fraud), then played LB for the other three years. Got eventually tired of the bad winter conditions (yes I was a wussy) and the fact that no major club would allow me in, so now I only play recreationally, with my mates, as often as we possibly can. I'm not bad though, actually I wish I'd shown Martin a lot more.
