    [Serie A] Lecce - Juventus (20/02/2011)

And yes, Buffon's timing was crap. It would have been better to close down the angles within the box and hope that you can save the shot rather than charge out and risk being sent off. The game would have still be in reach even being a goal down.

    [Serie A] Lecce - Juventus (20/02/2011)

That's a good point, but I still think that keeping the side more wide would have been a better option. I would have taken off Toni instead and tried to support Matri on the break with the wide players Krasic/Marchisio. At least then the Lecce wide men would be somewhat pre-occupied with their...

    [Serie A] Lecce - Juventus (20/02/2011)

That's exactly it. Can anyone here honestly say with a straight face that we deserve to finish in the top four? Even Palermo and Napoli are arguably better teams. I watched the game, which was already painful because my father is Leccese and was smirking the whole time, and was disgusted with...

    Jorge Martínez

He needs more time before we crucify him. However, for 12 million he better pull some impressive stuff out of his ass once he gets on form. I won't hold my breath.

Amauri "The Immovable Object" Carvalho de Oliveira

Which is what I think Marotta's hope is. His value now isn't much more than a sack of potatoes, but hopefully a few goals can raise his stock. I just find it hilarious that he couldn't hit the side of a barn when he was with us, but is now scoring acrobatic jedi goals.

The Wish List and General Discussion Thread

I hope I'm pleasantly surprised tomorrow then...because if I had to make a guess it would be that we should expect yet another underwhelming end to the mercato.

    4th place, possible or not

It PAINS me to agree with a statement like this...but I do. This season has been so frustrating (I'm sure not just for me) that I don't know what to say. Transfers have had little foresight, and the team is guided by a manager with only one system under his sleeve. I would've prefered to take a...

[Europa League] Manchester City v JUVENTUS (Sept. 30th 2010)

Saw them play against Chelsea on Saturday. They break at ludicrous speed, and they're very physical. They are having a problem with available players at the bak, but apart from that they'll field a solid line up. I would love to say I have some optimism going into this game, but I just have to...

    Tactics and Formations

I agree about the consistency. Injuries playing a hurdle in that is a valid point. What the hell is with all these injuries over the last 1-2 years anyway? It's ridiculous. Does the team fitness schedule involve 12 rounds with Lennox Lewis or something?

    [Serie A] Udinese 0-4 JUVENTUS (September 19th 2010)

    I'm already wearing my lifejacket.

    [Serie A] Udinese 0-4 JUVENTUS (September 19th 2010)

Udinese are fast on the break and despite picking up no points yet, they look more than decent. This will be a tough game, but anything less than a win would be disastrous. Not for the points but for morale in general.

    Simone Pepe

He's playing exactly the way you would expect; like somebody who is playing in a big team for the first time. He rushes his decisions, and is super enthusiastic to the point of tripping over his own feet. Wait until he composes himself and settles down and you will see that he is a quality...

[Europa League] JUVENTUS vs Lech Poznan (Sept. 16th 2010))

Juve have certainly not chosen the best time to invest in Italian talent. The one player I still believe had that extra spark is Giovinco...just ask Parma!

    Paolo De Ceglie

I have a feeling Traore will do well. He couldn't be worse than DC or Grygera. Then again, I remember thinking that nobody could be worse than Molinaro...
