Let's not underestimate USA. I expect a much better performance from them compared to what we saw against the Czechs. If Zambrotta is ready he should definitely start because Grosso is perhaps the weakest link right now. Iaquinta or Del Piero should start ahead of Gilardino.

Replace Camoranesi with Perrotta.

I must agree with you Rab, Ghana is very hard opponent and that could happen, easilly!
Considering that Ghana is a young squad with talented individuals that has os much grit and determination, I think that Ghana can give any team a hard time. But I think Cech knows Essien well that he knows how Essien's shots will turn out to be. The weak point of Ghana is their finishing. Hopefully Nedved can make a difference as shown when he plays for Juventus

Not that I am rooting for anyone in this game but I expect USA to step up their gear; losing this game means they are exiting the tournament. Same goes for Ghana and Chechs, I also expect Ghana to react to their loss.

Personally, I always enjoy the second game in the group phase most.

True, they indeed lack in finishing. But their coach knows the importance of the second game....and Czech are left without Koller,if Baros recovers(although he didn't play for a while) that leaves Czech with 3 strikers and 2 of them are Lokvenc and Heinz(I don't consider them as a major threat as Toni and Gila or Toni and any of our attackers).

Even though I see popular choices that involve Iaquinta and Del Piero, I would opt for Inzaghi in this case. Despite Inzaghi's famous soap drama expressions on the pitch and having a bachelor of honours in diving, I think he really wants to prove himself since this is his last WC tournament.

Inzaghi has deadly finishing as he can score heaps of goals with his head and feet. His vast experience in major European competitions also have in these tense situations. I think he commits himself to the team a lot and his celebrations are always crazy

Iaquinta on an off day will be just another off form Gilardino

Lippi is adapting the strike against the opponent.I think that he knows what he is doing, and I expect Del Piero in the next game.
