i was thinking ghana would be a harder match then the u.s.a and today the u.s.a proved me right.

:agree: I can't see USA winning even against ghana.

The good thing about Lippi's men is that Rino and Zambo will be back, not sure about Rino starting on the pitch or the bench, but he'll be back I guess, matter of fitness only.

I'd either start Dp or Iaquinta instead of Gila.
Me too. Gila was kind of lost in todays match.

i think ghana will beat the u.s and i think they will give the czech's a run for their money. italy still have to play a good game to beat the u.s.a, they are going to play like their is nothing to lose.

I agree my friend! IMO USA is going to be very dangerous the first 15 or 20 minutes of the match. As you said they have nothing to loose so their they are going to go with all what they have to score an early goal. Canna and Nesta are going to have a really tough day.

italy need to score as quick as possible and then start to dictate the game.

they need to score quick or they need to with stand the u.s.a 20 minutes of glory at the start and catch them on the counter attack

I think its better to start slow with short passes, and controling the game, but not being so crazy for an early goal. USA can be very harmful with counter-attacks at the begining of the match. They're really fast

no, it is important, because if they wont score, usa might start dictate the tempo, and its important to score some goals, but for that we need time, also, early goal would shock usa and their gameplan, as we saw against czechs.

I would go for this

---------Inzaghi - Toni
-------------Totti--------
--De Rossi - Pirlo - Perrotta
Grosso - Canna - Nesta - Zaccardo
-------------Buffon-----------

Something like the game against Ghana, hopefully all the players will be on form

Zambrotta really creates a deep impact in the team

I'd only change Iaquinta with Inzaghi.

De Rossi is the key if he plays like he did against Ghana.
I think his performance was quite good. Skysports gave him an unfair rating of 5.
I especially loved his 2 through passes for Gila and Perrotta's one-on-ones.
On another ratings note, I saw a Ghanian player with a rating of 0. Is that even legal?

This would be a gr8 game to stick DP in the starting lineup, from what we saw yesterday, it`d be great to have sumone supplying and as well as helping Toni with the finishing for which DP would be perfect. Stick DP in there but not alongside totti...instead in front of him alongside toni, Just like his role for Juve, where in he`d be able to create as well as score.
