Do you understand the the meaning of a closed league? Its still early days so we dont have all the info, but what is released and CONFIRMED is that this is a closed PERMANENT membership league, meaning no matter what, these 12 clubs keep their spot, no matter how they do on the pitch. Its not meant to replace the league (tho it might need to, if they arent allowed in their leagues), but the CL as you said. But the CL isnt a closed competition, anyone and everyone can qualify on merit, the winners are the richest, but everyone can compete to qualify into it (and 4-5 of current SL clus arent even good enough to qualify to CL...). Football has been money focused venture for 2 decades as is in its current state. But this is just a step too far.

SL is a marketing campaign bussiness venture, that you are invited and cant leave, based on how much money you can make together. 12 permanent members, and 3 unknown ones, plus few per year that will be lucky enough to be invited? And you dont get, how as a football fan, how this is being questioned? Really? They can change it to something else later, who knows, but for now that is whats confirmed, is not something to misunderstand as its presented. This simply about money, pure and simple.
All 12 SL current clubs are plenty good enough for CL (although this season 9/12 SL clubs played CL footie), the CL is just wrongly built. Not all of them are TOP4 in their countries this season, but they're easily among the TOP32 in Europe, possibly even TOP20.

Of course it's about money, but to get more money you need a better product, which is a good thing, I want to see Juventus competing in an exciting league.

Fuck UEFA, FIFA, FIGC. All these archaic dinosaurs can die. Hope super league creates a few divisions over the next several years and then I’d be fine with promotion/relegation between them completely separate of current structure

If you are a mutlimillionaire 20 year old footballer miami is the best place to live, great weather all year round, some of the best parties with the best looking people, lower taxes, great market for branding. They will be able to attract the best of they are let in the SL, no doubt.
We disagree here. I hate the humidity in Miami. High temperatures and high humidity are a terrible combination imo.

I'm hearing so much bullshit about inequality. First tier clubs get seeded first in CHL. Bayern is not in same group with PSG, REAL, CITY, JUVE, they are seeded with Kiev teams, PSV, Malmo.
What I’ve been seeing from the last 100 pages is basically this; “things are bad for the smaller clubs as it stands so why not go ahead and make things worse for them”. I mean fucking Perez using covid as an excuse to do this as if it hasn’t affected the smaller guys twice as hard.

High temperature can be okay as long as the humidity is not high. It's the problem in Denmark, our humidity is nasty in the summer and if we reach 25+ degress, then it often gets disgusting.

Southern Europe is nowhere as bad in terms of humidity.

But I agree with you, in general I actually prefer a more mild climate.

This. Give me a two 16-20 division super league of the 40 biggest teams in the biggest markets in Europe, and institute a proper salary cap, proper revenue sharing, and proper free agency plus transfer system, and then I’m fine with promotion/relegation between divisions.

So you wanna make Juve responsible for Atalanta?
Where was Atalanta to speak for Juve when we were being demoted?
Does Atalanta care if Juve tomorrow goes bankrupt?
Yet when it comes to cl money their are first in line to profit from the big clubs exposure?
What has Atalanta ever done for Juve, because when we want gosens they will still ask for 50 million?

So you, as a fan of football club, disagree with/make fun of Rashford, for saying that football isnt football, without fans? (quoting Matt Busby for it).
Of all the people that you can make fun of, it's really weird that Rashford is the object of their rage.

We still haven't been able to, or can't determine whether it's going to be better or worse for them though.

As I've said, the smaller clubs ultimately depend on the bigger clubs in order to make more money.

Id assume the project has been in preparation for few years. Every venue explored, every obstacle considered, armed with army of lawyers. Its not created on a whim over the weekend after few drinks. I expect this to move forward rapidly. Im only slightly concerned about english clubs. They need to come forward and dispell any doubts.

Pep has been the most critical of all the current SL club officials, about this venture (Klopp must gotten the squeze cuz he backed out alot on his statements), but its going under the radar a bit. It was a good interview. I dont get tho why Man City themselves are putting up the interview on their website lol. And why everyone except Perez are quiet about this whole thing amongst the SL head honchos.
