Hence my point; the gap is not that significant in Italy and never was. You have traditionaly 3 great clubs and 3-4 that are ranked between 4th to 7th place. In Spain you have Barca and Real, while the rest is up for grabbing.

And Sevilla will sell their stars this summer, Atletico as well, and their future won't be so bright.
As are Roma with Benatia? As Napoli did with Lavezzi and Cavani? You're stuck in the past because you know that the only thing Italians have over Spanish teams is history.

They sold Cavani and brought Higuain from Real Madrid, Fiorentina brought Rossi and Gomez from Bayern, Roma have new investors and these guys will make sure they remain competitive. Can you honestly see Sevilla selling Rakitić and bringing top name to replace him? Or Atletico, with enormous debt btw, selling Koke, Costa and making investments to improve their team. Not in a million years.

Atletico makes smart business. They scout and buy players nobody heard of and still be a success. Forget about this season and take a look at their European record lately.

Napoli overpaid. They paid 40M for a Real reject FFS. Gomez too. Bayern forced him out. He never would have joined the Viola. Come on, you can't be that thick headed.

They have to make smart business, because the other two are taking all the money away. Unlike them Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina can afford themselves to bring proven players. Despite what you think of Higuain or Gomez, those two are top players, Gomez especially and it's irrelevant if they were discarded by their previous clubs. Question is why haven't these players chosen perspective Spanish sides, but opted to move to Italy instead, while the current state is far from optimum. Once the league gets back on the right track, and with new stadiums and some reforms it is very likely scenario in the next 5 years, Italy will be again miles ahead of Spain.

Football works in cycles, so yes, Serie A will improve again, but it's silly for you to underrate and try to humiliate it by calling it LOLiga when it currently shits all over Serie A from top to bottom.

Even history , Spanish teams have more CL wins that Serie A. Unless we gonna start digging on UEFA wins just to make our self look good.

This is still a better league than Serie A; results in Europe prove it. Anyone who disagrees is either incredibly biased, delusional, or both. Come at me with your BS Bitches

The only thing i prefer about the La Liga vs Serie A is that even the smaller teams have huge stadiums... sevilla.. betis sevilla.. bilbao.. espanyol... all 40.000 or even more... and the stadiums seem full every time...

Thats the only thing i prefer about that league... the rest of it is shite..

The only reason Gomez and Higuain moved to Italy imo is because no top teams wanted them. Higuain imo is overrated as shit and Gomez, while being amazing at what he does, is a poacher and not many teams want them as starters.

spanish clubs are poor as fuck - gomez's salary 4m, higuain salary 4.2m , only Real and Barca could pay this amount of money in spain

Arsenal wanted Higuain, but you're right, no top team was interested.

Until they adopt collective distribution of TV money they will remain poor and their best players will go to either Barca, Real or abroad.
