Can't believe there are calls here for Molinaro to come back to LB, Grosso played very poorly today but I would still start him over Moli any day.

All I know is the international break couldn't have come at a better time.
In my opinion at a worse time. We need to be practicing a lot together to fix this shit. What happens if we lose another player to injury, Elvin? We would be fucked more so than we are now.
big one :sergio:

Fiorentina.
oh................my...................gosh :sergio:

We really need to pull ourselves together.

I'm starting to get really concerned that the biggest issue is in the one place we thought we were strongest... offense.

We all love Del Piero, but I don't think any of us realized how critical a player like him is to the team. He provides poise, trickery, creativity and skill that no one else on the team comes close to, except maybe Diego or Giovinco (who is stapled to the bench, Ranieri style). Unfortunately, he's probably in his last couple seasons, and going to be less prevalent from here on in.

Trezeguet is pretty useless unless the ball is put on his head or foot, in which case he's one of the best in the business. He needs his striking partner to support him, and I don't see it with Amauri for sure and not so much with Iaquinta... not like the chemistry he has with Del Piero.

Amauri is a selfish and moody striker. I'm starting to see why Brazil never called him up. I don't think he's a top tier striker, especially since he's pushing 30. He was awesome last year, but was it because Del Piero and Nedved were giving him excellent service, or was it because Amauri is the complete package. Suddenly, without those two legends, Amauri has gone cold. Is he really going to be the #1 striker in Juventus? Not for a Scudetto winning Juve.

I like Iaquinta, I should make that clear. However, I like him as a sub to inject life in the last 30 mins or less and to use his tenacity to take advantage of tired defenders. I don't think his intensity can make up for his lack of precision game in and game out as a starter. His shooting percentage must be extremely low as he seems to miss several good opportunities per game.

That being said, without DP, I think Trez/Iaquinta is the best possible pairing available. Thank god they didn't sell Trez this summer or you could imagine the mess Juve would be in now.

Sadly, the only player I see capable of replacing Del Piero on this team is Giovinco, and he's well on his way to being another Miccoli. This guy has the tools, he needs some faith, and how disheartening can it be to watch Amauri or Poulsen shit the bed day in and day out and be benched for much less.

Honestly, I think this problem gets worse before it gets better. They may have to blow some cash on a new striker soon. I think I'd chance it on Cassano or Rossi, cause I'm not convinced on this crew post-DP.

I think the midfield will be fine... I even think the defense will be fine once Cannavaro comes back to keep Chiellini, Caceres/Zebina and Grosso in line and on the same page. But without timely offense, I don't see first place anytime soon.

The term "great minds think alike" could really be used here.

Gio and Diego are both creative geniuses and if we would at least try them together we could see fireworks. Same for Diego/DP when that happens (if it ever happens).

I agree... I don't understand why Ferrara doesn't play Giovinco at striker with Trezeguet, and Diego supporting them.

Its not like he'd be toying with a strike force on all cylinders right now. Amauri is ice cold and needs to be benched. Iaquinta would be a great option for one of the two in the second half. Trez will bring the goals if Diego and Giovinco can bring the magic.

As it stands, tossing Trezeguet into an unorganized mess without strong possession will be nothing but a waste.

It would be more like Diego/Gio supporting Trez/IQ. And together they would bring the magic. Diego had no one today that could think outside the box...everyone was too lateral. Gio would offer Diego a creative option and vice versa. The two of them would be a headache for teams to try and reverse engineer.

the words "FUCKING EMBARASSMENT" dont come anywhere close to my feelling on the game....I am having a difficult time coming up with any words in the English language that describe just how disgusting we played today. We could have easily lost this game 5 or 6 to nil

Any half-way decent team can look at our performance today, and see all that is wrong with this team, and coaching staff, and EASILY come up with a game plan to defeat us.....which is why I've already made the prediction of an empty trophy case for the 2009-10 season. If things remain the same, we are looking at a 5th place finish and getting knocked our of the Europa Cup (after we get third in our CL group) fairly quick

Melo showed his true worth, or lack thereof today

Diego has had one good game this season (Roma)

Poulsen should resign from the team

Grosso is the lesser of 2 evils ??

Zebina isnt the answer at RB, and neither is Grygera for that matter

Legro should resign also, and going play in the Lega Pro (how the fuck does he receive a callup to the NT ??)

Chellini had too much to do with no help

Buffon was left hanging to dry all night, but should have been better positioned on Cavani's goal

Camo tried, but wasnt good enough

Amauri thinks he should receive an Italian NT callup ?????

Iaquinta was piss poor everytime he touched the ball, which wasnt too often

Ferrara is proving that he is too inexperienced to have such a prestigious position, all his decisions are questionable at best....our defense is in shambles, and our offense has NO punch, and is too predictable

We are sorely missing Canna and DP, two of our older players (who would have thought that, with all the other signings we made ??)

We are going nowhere, fast

We should consider Spaletti, before he signs for Milan or goes to Russia
