Not quite there yet, in my opinion. Zidane was bossing in a much better Serie-A, and he also set La Liga, the Champions League and the international stage on fire. Let's cool it just a lil' bit...

Pogba is doing exceptionally well, and I'm not ruling out that he may someday surpass Zizou, but to say that he's "better than Zidane" at this point in time is way premature.
It's a strange argument, really. Pogba is close to Zidane in many ways, the most striking way is how he can seize the moment in a game and completely alter it in the blink of an eye, it seems like it's just waiting to happen every time he touches the ball.

He is a long way from seriously being compared to Zidane though - he needs to do something in Europe this year and keep up this level for at least 4 years, then we can talk. I mean, we still haven't built our team around him or given him 1/10th of the responsibility ZIdane had at Juve.

Just some examples:

Zidane was pivotal in us reaching the 1997 and 1998 CL finals, and it should've been one in 1999 as well (what the fuck happened there against Man United in the semis :sergio:)

Made the 98' world cup final his own, by scoring twice and playing majestically. Not to mention how he played in the rest of that world cup (my godddd).

Made the 2002 CL final his own, by scoring the most sensational goal ever scored in a CL final.

Then there were individual displays in other world cups and the Euros that were simply earth-shattering. Made England his bitch several times.

Fantastic performances for Juve and Real Madrid in Serie-A and La Liga, winning league titles with both as a key member of the squad, delivering top notch performances with a technical level not seen since Maradona.

Pogba, he's an absolute beast and truly dominating in the Serie-A right now. I love him to bits, but you can't talk about him having topped Zizou. Like @Nzoric says: he needs to dominate also in Europe (and I will add on the international stage); then we can talk.

I didn't like him much today apart from some magical moments there and then. I thought he lost possession quite a few times.

I don't see how some said he was the man of the match. Must be those old eyes fooling them.

I agree. He did his usual masterpieces...but had way too many distracting moments and lost possesion when he shouldnt

To be honest he looked not as focused as other players
Agree, imo he did good but not the best of his games,he did lost few balls that gladly for us didn't cost us.

There has not been a single player in history, that could handle responsibility so well as zidane did.

Individually, he was at his best in every important game. But in every important game, he became the focal point of attention. All the stress and responsibility went to him. And each and every time, he delivered. He allways was the player that allowed his fellow players to rise far above themselves.

In 2006 when he was technically decaying individually, he took a shitty france and single handedly brought them in the final, whilst having ALL the attention every second off the game.
Others mentionned at his peak how he domminated at juve .

Make comparisons about how pogba made you ejaculate as much as you want guys. But the way Zidane or Platini(82-85) domminated at juve, is unprecedented. And Pogba will never come close to it. He's not that good.

okay okay, I may went too far with him heing better than Zidane. But I'm sure you'll call him better in five years. It's just that we are not as important in europe as in zizou era and france NT is not as good now

Funny how his agent has chilled out and is now talking about how pogba is happy at juve and they won't force a move. Last week it sounded like the exact opposite. Maybe pogba told him to zip it

dont take everything Raiola says seriously. he likes to talk bullshit quite often. he likes the media to talk about his agents so he has to give them some material

Just dont do that aagain. For alot of peeps, zidane is up there with maradona and pele. And rightly so.

Not even our great del piero should be mentioned in the same line as zidane (comparing both careers).
So dont compare him with pogba, because pogba has a long way to go to even be as influential as del piero was in his respective role... now imagine zidane.
