The player X at age Y > player Z at age Y arguments are stupid. The stats are correct, but that doesn't make them meaningful in 90% of the cases. Otherwise, Bojan & Freddy Adu >>>>> Zidane & Xavi combined.
This is true.

But it's also true that half the members of this forum trash 20-22 year old forwards for not scoring 20+ goals a season at a big club already. Or trash a 20 year old MF for not being consistent enough, or making the occasional mistake.

For example people saying a guy like Morata could never get to Cavani's level. How the fuck do they know that? He clearly has the potential to be world class as seen from his success at every level he's played at thus far. Does this mean he'll get there, no... but he certainly could.

Same with stupid shit about Pogba never being able to reach the level of Zidane. What a stupid comment. Pogba clearly has the talent and potential to become an all-time great, he clearly has the potential, alongside players like Neymar to become the best in the world. Obviously potential is just potential, but saying he will never get there is just stupid and trolling.

IMO, to really judge the talent of a player...you need to wait until said player is around 27-28..which will be his peak. By that age they are developed physycally, have a good number of seasons under their belts and got experience in a lot of different circumstances.

Agreed. With lots of players these days peaking even later. Look at Robben for example.

Yeh. IMO thats the minimum, but like you said , there are players like robben, toni... who get their best moments late in their careerers

but in a twisted way, it's also good for us.

he keeps hyping him in the press, some one who is neutral or cheers for another team will be like what is the fuss all about? then that someone will watch a juve match, maybe fall in love with the style of a juve player or 11, and bam! new fan gained right there. now multiply that fan by 100 or a thousand or 10 thousand...etc.

I hope people don't watch the majority of our matches. Especially in Europe. We'll never gain fans that way.

Along with Tevez Pogs has been our best player so far, brilliant young lad with the right set of tools. Despite of his rising popularity, stellar status, he's stayed humble and respectful towards his colleagues, coach, never forgetting where he came from and what made him the player he is now. Trait that is very rare for players of his age, who often tend to take couple of wrong turns along the way. Not a bad for 21 yo, whom great Sabatini once labeled as talentless. Pogba lifting the CL trophy this season or in the next few years while wearing this jersey? I say it's possible. Gotta believe it. Keep the good mojo going.
