I think the issues should be put to rest Andy. Some people have apologized for prior remarks about our team and others haven't. Lets just move on and concentrate on beating Ghana, which is something very possible.

He is a pure striker...give him a decent ball as Pirlo did and he will do his thing...when they removed Totti for a defensive midfielder it shut down anything creative ahead of Pirlo who was also lost in the midfield apart from artistic touches...NO ONE was getting the ball to the strikers...Del Piero cannot create anymore and its obvious he is not interested in playing behind Gila but wants to assure his last tournament is not another bust. Oh I'm not saying he was worse than the others, but when all of them suck then it doesn't take much to be on par. Yes, he had the one difficult shot which I don't blame him for missing. The one from distance was way too easy for Keller. And apart from that I didn't see him do anything at all. He's way too slow to take on players, he doesn't pass anywhere but sideways, he doesn't make runs (except the one), that's about it really.

Very wrong decision . I know Brussels is the European capital and all, but Antwerpen is a much nicer city. I can't say I'm too happy to live there though, because of the pollution and the overwhelming presence of fascists. I guess Antwerpen's glory days are past us, but it's still a nice, and indeed cosy, city.
