Move over @swag, we got a new hipster in town :D

Interstellar is no masterpiece. It's not even Nolan's best work (Following a nudge ahead of The Prestige for me). It is however a visual spectacle, especially when you watch it on IMAX. It was brilliant.

Yes. The people praising this movie are the same riding the super hero wave.

Let me rephrase that. the people calling it a "masterpiece" are the same people riding the super hero wave.
No. :D

Interstellar was amazing imo, not sure if I'd label it as a masterpiece though but it's close. Movie being quite predictable doesn't really lower the rating for me, as there were also some unexpected stuff flying around. But I'm far from a super hero fanboy as I pretty much only rate Batman.

What makes you think that?
Only such a stupid generation of followers would praise something only for it's visual aspects. Which i admit are great. And two, following the Batman trilogy, which was very good given it's about a super hero, Nolan has gained such a name for himself around those fans. I have no doubt in my mind most of the people who went to watch it were either those people or Scifi fans.

Story is weak, not original, not mind blowing and especially not something worth of a masterpiece title. It's not only predictable and full of cliches from beginning to end, it's been dumbed down to the average viewer, the super hero fucker, who thought this was creative in any way. I don't need a movie holding my hand every step of the way, especially when it's aiming to be a "epic masterpiece"??

For Sci fi fans like me and millions out there, we liked it for let's be honest, it's not everyday we get a good Scifi movie with a huge budget. So in that aspect, i appreciate it. But it's just a blockbuster that leaves you with nothing to wonder. And i also understand why he had to dumb it down, $$$. But epic masterpiece? No.
