Hey guys, i need some help please. I remember watching this movie many years ago but i dont remember the title or almost anything about it. All i remember is that the main protagonist is a guy and one night he is hit by this small meteor-like ball from space and he goes unconscious. When he wakes up he finds out that he has a super-human ability where he can read books in like 2 seconds and remember everything that is written in the books. Thats all i can remember really.

Any ideas guys? Please? Anyone?

The Meteor Man. Might be the worst movie ever, aside from the Bill Cosby scenes.

There's a meteor in Phenomenon with John Travolta. It knocks him unconscious though I don't recall that it actually hits him. It does give him the ability to read books extremely quickly and remember everything.

@PostIronic No, its not the meteor man or Phenomenon..... In this movie im talking about, the guys does not turn into this super hero guy, just a normal guy with some superhuman abilities. Something like Phenomenon, but i think the protagonist was a black dude.....

Interstellar... Matthew Mcconaughy and Anne Hathaway as leads destroyed any potential this film had of being great. Seriously, the idea to cast those two in this kind of film. :inter:

Still, the film itself was pretty good in overcoming such obvious acting shortcomings, a very interesting premise that could have been more fully developed... so 7/10 for me.
PostMoronic pls. You have a 128 bit brain or something? The acting was not an issue. :disagree:

First 1-1.5 hour of the movie, plus the moving finishing parts was best of the movie, movie took a little nosedive around the middle when Dr Mann /planet exploring parts came up a little. In overall exceptional movie, but that was more or less the least impressive part of the movie for me.

That's funny, the part on earth and the ending were my least favorite parts.
I felt the part on earth dragged on a bit too long. Of course it's necessary to introduce the characters and so on, but with quite ordinary characters like here, watching them do mundane shit on earth is not that interesting.

Regarding the ending, I'd much prefer cutting the father and daughter finally meeting again.

I thought the part on Damon's planet was a nice way of showing that even the most calculated, unemotional people can't resist the the temptation of emotions even when they are they are supposed to save the human race.

To me the best part of the movie was how it dealt with time.
