Lol come on man! DKR wasnt anywhere near as good as Dark Knight or Batman Begins, but it isnt even close to being garbage like battleship.
The formula is tired and overwrought. I completely lost interest. Disconnected. Tried too damn hard at more of the same, but tried at a larger scale. Yawn. I felt nothing watching that. I just wanted everybody to die in a fiery ball of neutron bomb death and end the franchise at that point.

The movie genre of self-parody is littered too much.

Careful, Greg. I feel the NSA could be watching you from now on.
:D

Greg is the NSA

Watched Argo last night. Good movie, but I don't think it was great.
 Not quite, though I once lived near it. We used to joke that you could tell it was the NSA because it was this huge complex of buildings and radomes and satellite dishes and obscured buildings that didn't have a sign that said "NSA" in front of it.

I liked Argo. Thought it was one of the best movies I saw last year.

Saw Moonrise Kingdom finally. I like that Wes Anderson stuff, even if I'm not a superfan. It was quite good and surprising, and of course, quirky. After having watched Dark Knight Rises, before it, I was reminded of all the things DKR failed at: lack of creativity, taking itself too seriously, being formulaic, surprises that weren't, hyperbole that seemed rooted in a lack of imagination and just a trap to outdo yourself, a big budget spent by committee. MK succeeded at each of those where DKR failed.

I love the soundtrack, atmosphere of this movie. There also were some great, memorable quotes and i must say i like Danny Dyer :)
You?
Dyer is a bit of a wideboy but this film was good, I loved how they captured the 80s so well. The director went out and got every last detail to make it feel authentic, and it did. This was essentially where it all started, and even today we are reading stories about these 'bosses' in the English ghettos in Spain. Like this guy: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...gins-extradition-in-madrid-court-8612717.html

Frankie: 'Better to be someone for a day than no one for a lifetime.'

Nick Love is capable of making movies with stunning atmosphere, like The Business, Football Factory and seems Dyer is his fav actor. I remember i didn't liked Outlaw at all though..

"The Wolverine" movie comes out in only two weeks. :theflag:
I've boycotted any superhero/superpower-themed movie. They're all copycat tripe. Formula to the max to extract cash from your wallet for no creative risk.

Oh, and forgot to mention... a few weeks ago I finally saw Silver Linings Playbook. I really liked it -- an entertaining flick, but hardly an Oscar contender. In fact, Bradley Cooper >>>> Plasticface in it, so I don't get how that botox queen managed to get a Best Actress over Meryl Streep. But still a solid movie ... even if it's sad to see Robert De Niro getting typecast now.

No, dat wasn't my article, but it makes sense in theory.

Yeah, the final ending of that movie was a bit too montage-heavy, Flashdance/Dirty-Dancing-wannabe, and predictable.
