I've boycotted any superhero/superpower-themed movie. They're all copycat tripe. Formula to the max to extract cash from your wallet for no creative risk.

Oh, and forgot to mention... a few weeks ago I finally saw Silver Linings Playbook. I really liked it -- an entertaining flick, but hardly an Oscar contender. In fact, Bradley Cooper >>>> Plasticface in it, so I don't get how that botox queen managed to get a Best Actress over Meryl Streep. But still a solid movie ... even if it's sad to see Robert De Niro getting typecast now.
i don't think she does botox though, that's just the way her face looks, ala renee zell-wedger.

Aren't I too old for that? Gandalf the Hipster??
hipsteria knows no age :D

most babes, yes, with a few exceptions like theron & bonham carter
Yeah, helena bonham carter is soooo multi-dimensional

I don't think she does botox. She just looks like her face has been numbed 7x over.

Anyone seen Pacific Rim?
Is that the Asian porno?

Finally saw Zero Dark Thirty. I liked it. Good storytelling. Mostly non-fiction. I was also hyper-alert for a rather propagandist narrative, but while there was a tinge of that I thought it mostly stayed within the bounds of suspense... like, say, Carlos.

Yeah I hear ya, same attitude here, but there some extremely reality suspending gaping holes in the plotline that was just unnecessary. But Gerard Butler kicked ass, and thats why I watched it.
