You gonna love George Luz, and pretty much all of its amazing cast, ridicolous depth with the cast.

Even has a young scrawny Tom Hardy :D

To think he'll grow up to play frigging this:

Great war movie go! I have already seen Apocalypse now, Full Metal Jacket, the hurt locker, Shaving Ryans privates.
The Thin Red Line. Also from the ones badmotorfinger listed, I'd recommend Letters from Iwo Jima (given you've seen Platoon) and Band of Brothers (TV Series). Another TV series worth taking a look at is Generation Kill.

I would, but people dont tend to listen when I generally recommend asian cinema :p

And I'm off to bed, had a mini maraton of Martin McDonagh movies, In Bruges, The Guard and Seven Psychopaths, in that order, and also the order of how I prefer them hehe. Spastic dark satires, or well the last one wasnt dark or much of a satire (bit more erratic kind), but I allways like Walken and Rockwell almost in anything they do.

Love Love Love that film. Especially Ralph Fiennes.

Ken: Harry, let's face it. And I'm not being funny. I mean no disrespect, but you're a cunt. You're a cunt now, and you've always been a cunt. And the only thing that's going to change is that you're going to be an even bigger cunt. Maybe have some more cunt kids.
Harry: [furious] Leave my kids fucking out of it! What have they done? You fucking retract that bit about my cunt fucking kids!
Ken: I retract that bit about your cunt fucking kids.
Harry: Insult my fucking kids? That's going overboard, mate!
Ken: I retracted it, didn't I?
