Exactly, even though i disregard the Robert Downey Jr. depiction of Holmes, it's much better than the TV series. Skinny pants, shirts, a fancy coat, androgynous and all in all a total pussy.
That's Bizzare, read enough Holmes books to know that despite the modern setting(alters the character of course for that) , the Sherlock tv series is MUCH more genuine depiction then those movies(his twisted nature) , Holmes isn't a classless action comedy hero...

Just cracking into Life of Pi now, hoping it wont be too mushy
Visualy stunning movie, did not however have any clue of what the plot of the movie or book entailed. Had I known I think I would have steered well clear of this one, or perhaps have just viewed it with the volume down.

I guess I just wanted this movie to be about a guy surviving at sea with a tiger and nothing more.

It goes on tv for the last decade (re-runs all year long), prolly seen almost all episodes, way back. Its what defines Sherlock Holmes adaptions for me (since it was first one I saw, but also classic, almost literal adaption of character), but I still enjoy the modern take the Sherlock has ALOT, very entertaining. The movies? They are a joke, and I say this as someone who pretty much likes Downey Jr in anything he does (he is funny in his role, but he isnt Holmes).

Borrowed The Rules of Attraction from my friend...need to watch it again soon. One of the dopest movies ever made. :delpiero:

I recommend it to all of you who know the wild side of life...for boring fuckers, just stick with Schindler's list.
