What other Soviet animators/animations would you recommend?
Have a creepy one for starters. Why does the monster hunting the two little girls needs to have a penis?

You get the most famous Norshteyn piece
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tale_of_Tales_(1979_film)
And my favourite of all dem Norshteyns
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Heron_and_the_Crane

Another great animator was Fyodor Khitruk
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film,_Film,_Film
And Roman Kachanov
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mitten_(film)

Then there is a whole bunch of "feel good" kids movies that ppl rewatch for nostalgy reasons, most based on tales or novels. Those cartoons provided lots and lots of aphorisms ppl use in everyday language.

Saw the Estonian-Georgian movie Tangerines. It's about two old men harvesting tangerines. :tuttosport:

Oh, and I guess there's a war and some injured soldiers in that movie too.

The @Zacheryah biopic is finally coming. One man's fight against a bunch of useless peasands. Gonna be so good. :tuttosport:

The soundtrack on other hand is amazing. Haven't heard something so good since Under The Skin.
I completely forgot what that soundtrack was like, but after hearing Death on YouTube I instantly remembered Scarlett walking towards the helpless men in her empty room. Good stuff. :D

:D It still sends shivers down my spine. That was actually "her" spaceship. I haven't read the book but the story behind it is that human flesh is like a delicacy to her species.

No, but certainly will. Love that movie. :D
It's so weird, but in a good way. :D Though I really had to overcome the fact that it doesn't do anything to captivate you at all. And I'm not sure I'll ever feel like watching it again, but I certainly don't regret seeing it. It was really unique. And it left me with quite a few unanswered questions.

Prolly not :D

If Zach is in it, I'm buying it though.
Chris Pine will play Zach. Of course he can't match Zach's handsomeness.
