John Wick - If you are going to make a whole movie about taking revenge on the people who killed your dog, this is the way to go about it. Good to see Keanu Reeves back in action (I haven't seen any of his other movies that released in the past couple of years).

Ivan's Childhood - It was pretty solid and quite brilliant how was it filmed considering it's so old. Lack of symbolism is what makes it lesser good than other stuff by Tarkovsky, but it's still very good imo. Not sure where I'd place this one but I guess next to Andrei Rublev, if not even better. That childhood and war experience was quite shocking.

So I watched Star Trek and Star Trek Into the Darkness for the first time. I always thought I'd end up hating it but it was quite good and enjoyable, so it was a pleasant surprise. Now, I don't know the actual story as I haven't watched the Tv series but I liked what I saw and I probably like the first one better, although both are worth of watching. I like how J.J. Abrams is directing such movies and sci-fi (Almost Human is also pretty good, I liked it) so I really can't wait to see how he makes Star Wars.

I only watched the first part. And imo it's one of those movies when I say to myself 'lol, I can't believe people actually like this'. I can even digest some brainless action movies, but not that one. One guy goes out and murders the whole world. Nope. No way. I also find Liam Neeson quite annoying as I only enjoyed him in Schindler's List tbh.

Exactly. :lol: What an Joke of a movie. The story is set in stone for a Bollywood movie. :lol:

Keanu Reeves can't act for shit. His acting is on the same level as Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Thought it was a really good film as you said it had both good and bad people on both sides even though i have my strong opinions on the subject i did feel in this case that the main character despite being a British soldier did seem pretty innocent and they did try their best not to make it seem too one sided. was very gripping and sometimes made me feel a bit squeemish, too close to home maybe becuase i usually love really violent or gory films.
