I would say that his character was a bit too token, but the represented relationship between him and Sean William Scott was pretty damn funny!
Yeah as Ahmed said, dissapointing except the black kid, yes he played the token black guy, stereotypically one of the best comedic roles one can do if done right (like most stereotypical comedic roles, too rarely so), and this kid DID IT RIGHT
In general, as I told IZ a while back, this movie is mildly amusing, very very few lol moments, except the kid (and interaction with his rolemodel). Who reminded me of a 10 year old Eddie Murphy (same comedic in yo face energy)
But in general ok/decent entertaining. There were defenitely potential to have some really funny characters (the asian guy you found to be racistist material in Hangover

), but they fell short due to obvious lack of good punchline material. Were some good potential jokes who fell short a bit due to the writing.
I found Year One quite more lol worthy, saw them after one another.
