Nice stat padding today against the 110th ranked team in the world . Couldn’t pull it off against the likes of Real in the CL.
Well obviously he cannot score 5 against Madrid let alone in the CL no one can. Not to diminish his many destructions of Madrid over the years ofc.

Some of the goals were very good technique not easy finishes at all so I am glad he went for it and didnt play dinoball against estonia.

Seriously what is the point of them playing Estonia? And why is Messi playing and not a youngster?
Stat padding of course. It’s also the reason the Copa America is held every year.

Who’s saying he needs to score five? He didn’t score a single goal against Madrid this year. He even missed a penalty lmao. Classic choker.

Does that close the thread then?
I don't understand this logic. If France won on penalties does it really make that big a difference to his ability as a player?

Did Messi have an outstanding game today? I don't think he did, he gave away the ball cheaply for an equaliser and drifted in/out of the match. Di Maria and Martinez had more of an impact today.

I wouldn't say he carried Argentina this tournament to the same level that Zidane ran the show for France, Ronaldo for Brazil or even Modric has for Croatia in the past.

For me he's a better player than Ronaldo but today didn't really have any bearing on that.
