People still whining about the coach, somehow not getting that we have a GARBAGE makeshift team. Jerking off to Pogba and Di Maria
a) not super hyped about either of Pogba or di Maria. if the squad remains as is, both seem like a complete waste of funds, we're doing this thing half-assed. however the intention and the plan when you sign these types of players is to win now, it's not to beat Napoli to the 4th place.

b) when Max returned, he allegedly returned with a more say in transfers. last season he complained about the immaturity of 20yo's and several times stressed the need for veterans. I think it's rather logical to assume that both Pogba and di Maria had something to do with Max and that he's not just the coach that works with what he's been given.

Do you really think this squad is bad enough on it's own to be losing to Atletico 'park the bus' Madrid 4-0? I dont care if it's a friendly, this is already a major indication of how weak we will be this season.

And Allegri actually has the balls to say, after getting schooled by Simeone, that we played well :lol:There is no hope for this team as long as this delusional bald man is still our coach

Be honest with yourself, noone gives a shit about Vidal except us. Won't be remembered after retirement.
He was a fucking beast but really only for a few years. He was kinda just... there at the stacked Bayern team then declined with age and I don't even remember his stint at Barca I heard nothing about him there.

Since Allegri’s return, I don’t ever remember being happy with the way this team has played both from a technical/tactical level and from a mentality point of view.

Even when we win matches in the league against average opposition, we frequently have fewer shots on goal and lower possession. We seldom won convincingly or have complete control over the game.

At least in his first stint, we may not have played champagne football but it was effective in terms of chances created versus chances conceded. Don’t know what happened.

If Pogba & Di Maria are your "top signings", you're just not a serious club (anymore).
Especially considering the existing squad you're adding them to.
Very Galliani-esque transfer dealings.

And of course the infallible Allegri had nothing to do with wanting to work with Pogba again or wanting 'experienced' veterans at the club.

We had arguably the best back line in Europe and briefly a great midfield too.

Now we can't rely on shutting out the opposition for 90 minutes

I want to be wrong but if I had to take a guess given the injuries, the current squad and the way we played last season/last 4-5 seasons I’d say there’s a good chance we’ll be fighting for a 4th spot again with the club and Allegri in mutual agreement to part ways at the end of the season

Hopefully that agreement includes Agnelli parting ways as well.

The current squad is a frankenstein. It feels like Arrivebene came with strict rules for long term financial health, Cherubini had his vision, Allegri had a different vision and we've landed in some sort of disastrous compromise. And in addition we also failed to ship out some of the deadwood and sign some of the players we identified as plan A, B, C and D. I hope that at least we learned from last August that panic buys with long lasting impact like Kean are not worth it, that one seems set to haunt us for years.

Exactly for me. Didn't mind seeing Max leave figuring get someone in here who was more offensive minded. Sarri's team didn't score like at Napoli and Pirlo (I don't blame him) didn't deserve to put into this managing position. So I thought WTH let's get back to non-champagne foots as you say cause winning is all that matters. Thought Max this time might generate a better offensive strategy. Your bolded above is my biggest disappointment and boggles my mind of it happening far too often.

Everyone here can say what they want about not a good enough squad etc etc but look where some books have their serie a future odds knowing what all the squads look like at this present moment.

I'm not going to buy any excuses from Max if not contending for the title.
Still in Max's corner until he shows me otherwise!
