what i do? lets put it this way, i'm paying the price for not going to college, i'm working for my dad. :D

we have firm which deals in sanitary ware, we are distributors for a firm from scotland, mcalpine, for the area which no one else wants, ex yugoslavia. we sell lots and lots of plastic pipes and traps. there's good money in this but one problem is ever present in this area, especially in wholesale, and that is payment. people take goods, you give them 30 days to pay and they pay in 150 days. you do the math.

how 'bout you? studying what?

You should introduce a cash only policy ;)

I'm a bachelor of software engineering from back home in Norway, I came here to do a master's in computer science..

haha no, not at all. I had a job before this, but it wasn't quite what I wanted, I'm hoping to have some interesting prospects at the end of this though.

well you 'outta. it sucks when you work your ass of to get a diploma and can't find a job afterwards. sadly that's the case here. that's mainly why i'm not too eager to finish college.

Well the worst thing that can happen is that you don't find a job. Which means you fall back on what you had before you went to school. So at least it's no risk.

It's not a religion you know :p I think most people who have those kinds of jobs don't care much which project it is exactly, just as long as they feel the community is getting the benefit of their work. So whether it's gentoo or ubuntu or whatever, it's not terribly important. The difference is that ubuntu has Canonical and actual employees, while gentoo is 100% volunteer driven.
