...so I shouldn't be using Azureus? Wasn't it one of you mofos who recommended it to me?

(btw I just had a "sheer beauty" moment when I opened up Synaptics, checked the Apache packages, and typed in my IP address in Firefox) :D

i used it before, cause it was the only torrent manager for linux i knew, but i wouldn't recommend it. it needs a lot of dependencies and, like martin said, requires quite a lot of resources. it has some nice options but all in all, you can do better.

no i did use it like a week ago the last time, that was when my mandriva was still operational. than in the meantime came edgy and fedora so i did a complete reinstall of all 3 distros just a few days ago and now i just don't feel like installing azureus again cause of the dependencies. that's why i said i really want utorrent for linux. it's the best damn client.

Yeah I used uTorrent in WinXP, it was great... tiny (didn't even require an install, I loved that), quick and straightforward

To be fair, Ubuntu comes a lot close-er. But gentoo is still a lot more flexible.

I was running ubuntu on my desktop pc back in Norway, cause now that I'm back in Holland my family can handle ubuntu more easily than gentoo.
