I think the key will be,
1) how can we maintain Vieri
2) how can we maintain Emre if he plays
3) will we show more creativity than the previous game.

I don't think current Inter side is capable of creating many chances, but they do have a knack of winning games without playing well, so mentality could be a major factor.

I think we will win 2-1 but I have been getting things wrong of late so...:D.

If you have been getting things wrong of late why don't you predict an Inter win:D . Seriously though if there is a team that can never outplay us it has to be Inter as they are as dysfunctional as we are with left footers on the right , centre backs on the full back position, buying an aging gladiator in Bati, forwards injuring themselves every game etc

Inter hasn't beaten us since Djorkaeff in 1998. And they haven't won at the Delle Alpi since 93 or something like that.

Of course that could always change but you gotta like the stats, right? ;)

Conte should be told to sit in a corner and think about what he did on tuesday while Camo should be kicked up the backside and start producing good performances again
A little bit harsh there Denco. You sound like a torturer :D
I totally with you on the lone striker nonsense. I just hope we don't shoot ourselves in the foot again.

My point is, the result of this game doesn't prove who's the better team between Juve and Inter. It just proves that both teams are above the rest. So I just hope that Juve doesn't take on too much pressure from this game, and just concetrate on playing their real game. If juve are On their Game on that night, I think we can say that the 3-points are in the bag.
The result of this game matters a lot to me. I don't want us to lose against Inter. NO. I hope we thrash them convincingly :)

What is serotonin? Does it do us good?
Here's your answer ..... Thanks Hayley :thumb:

hayley's science thought for the day: serotonin is a naturally occurring anti-depressant, also found abundantly in almonds
There is a 'high' you feel after laughing. That is the elevated production of serotonin which as Hayley pointed out is an anti-depressant. So all you need to do is chew a few almonds & laugh like a maniac
Other benefits of laughter ...
"Laughter has innumerable other benefits. It proves a potent anti-stress factor, decreases asthmatic attacks, increases stamina, relives arthritic pain, ensures good sleep and elevates mood. Since the serotonin levels go up after laughter, it is an effective antidote for depression too." http://www.allayurveda.com/alter_laughter.htm

Ok Back to the topic. :)
The thing about Inter is that they can win a game without playing any meaningful football. A case in hand is the recent is their game versus Piacenza. They played crap and scored 3 goals. We need our concentration to the max and a good formation. Not 4-3-2-1. I suggest we go for 4-4-2 and am sure Di Vaio will do better and the Inter defence will have to concentrate on 2 strikers not mentioning Nedved & Camo.
Forza Juve.... :)

Oliveira :howler: I'm afraid x-mas already passed! :D

Zambrotta. He's a very good player especially in his offensive tasks, the defending is where he sucks, so I'll agree with you to not use him in the back line. But I'm not sending him home just yet :D He should play instead of Camo, because he's notthe Camo from the start of the season. He's not causing any trouble on the pitch, but he's not very accurate.

Iuliano and Montero? :scared: :scared: :scared: Do you want to lose the game before it even starts? :D Get Montero out and bring on Ferrara ... yes he is better and I don't agree with what you said in the Man topic!

Keep Trez, he needs to play and he'll do better on on Sunday. It's not easy to be an only striker up-front. If we are going to play with 2 then he should definitely stay.
WHO AGREE WITH ME THAT TREZ HAD A LOT OF TIME TO RECOVER AND YET AND IS STILL AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY FORM HIS FORM?????

INTER SLAUGHTER A HELPLESS JUVE

Turin - The Champions League match against Manchester United has obviously left it's scars on the old lady of Turin as three Vieri goals saw Juventus loose on home soil.

Hopes were high and the statistics in Juve's favour as the match kicked off today, but all that quickly disappeared as it soon became obvious Juventus couldn't make a fist.

It was all Inter straight from the kick-off and after 2 good chances, Vieri finally scored in the twelfth minute.

Juventus tried to come get back in the match and came forward. Their effords were rewarded two minutes later as Mauro Camoranesi was tackled brutely by Zanetti inside the penalty area. Paparesta didn't hesitate for a second and awarded a penalty kick to Juve. Trezeguet to take it, 1-1.

It would turn out to be Juve's last attack. The combination of Di Vaio as left winger and Trezeguet the lonely striker up front proved not to be enough to get through the Inter defence.

It was only the strong Turin defence that prevented a monstrous score as Inter kept going forward and it resulted in a second goal in the 31st minute, again Vieri, again Inter up front.

After the break, things got worse as Edgar Davids received his second yellow card of the match after a foul on Recoba and he was sent off.

A ten-men Juve saw Vieri score a third goal to seal the match in the 58th minute.

Lippi brought on Salas in the 70th minute but it proved too little too late as Juventus lost 1-3 in the Delle Alpi stadium. Inter go on top in the Serie A and Juventus have some big issues to solve if they're going to remain title contenders this season.

-----------------------------------------------

Before you get all freaked out - this is just what I think will happen. Yes, it is a FAKE article! :D;)

Juventus striker David Trezeguet says that while the match with Inter is important, it will not determine the destiny of the Scudetto.

"It is not a determining game because there are many still to play," said the Frenchman. "But after the cup defeat to Manchester we must arrive to the game with Inter loaded. The Nerazzurri will have the same wants as us, we have more or less the same goals in the championship and cup, therefore it will be a beautiful contest."

=============================

I have a feeling Treze will play a great game tomorrow  !!

Juventus defender Ciro Ferrara has been ruled out of Sunday night's clash with Inter due to injury.

The veteran has a muscular problem and has been ordered to rest. Mark Iuliano is favourite to deputise.

Elsewhere in the side, Gianluca Zambrotta is likely to get the left-back role ahead of Gianluca Pessotto.

=================================

Damn .. Ciro has been solid lately .. but Iuliano ? :undecide:

Maybe Lippi should play Thuram in CD and play Zenoni/Biri RB ??

bloody hellfire! why?

dpf, you should give Iuliano a break, he's certainly better than zambrotta and conte, and its not as if Trez or Di Vaio or montero even did anything even half decent on wednesday is it? I for one am glad to see Iuliano in there

Perhaps but he'll have to receive good passes as well... :groan:
Nedved, Di Vaio, and Camo should take care of that ;)

I know Iuliano is class .. but he has just returned from injury and to play a gigantic clash against Inter for your comeback isn't exactly an easy choice .. anyway, good luck to MArk if he gets to play ;)

:howler: With Di Vaio as a left winger, Nedved only playing well if the rest of the team plays well and Camoranesi obviously not capable of fighting Inter on his own? Not very likely...
