Tom why would you want Iuliano to play? IMO he is a very erratic defender who resorts to clumsy tackles which leads to you know what .... :D
I reckon he's our best defender right now

Erik, very impressive:cool::D

Great stuff Erik. Now could you kindly place the names on the dots. Thank you.

We are deep trouble if Iuliano is our best right defender

this shouldnt be too hard...

buffon
thuram montero ferrara pessoto
camoranesi tachinardi davids
nedved
trezeguet di viaio

this 4231 formation is an act of desperation from lippi...only cus del piero is out. it doesnt work - yeah it may have worked against an uninspired como and parma, but it leaves trezeguet isolated and di viaio cannot play on the left.

if we squeeze out recoba inter will have real problems - but knowing what recobas like, hell probably have an offday and the only threat will be zanetti taking on di viaio on their right, our left, and vieir against the OAPs

With that backline Inter will be solid .. I was hoping Pasquale gets to play as left-back so that Camo gets an easy match, but with Cordoba there it will be much tougher .. Batistuta & Recoba are both fresh since they didn't play in midweek and might prove desecive, specially Batistuta who likes scoring against Gigi :(

Anyway, enough talking about Inter .. I think our players would want to prove themselves after that disastrous match against Man Utd .. a win will see us sit comfortably at the top of the Serie A standings .. so let's go for it !!

Tsss....

Back to topic: Inter's backline is a good reason to be worried - just look at all the trouble Saviola and Kluivert had with it yesterday! And our front line sucks without Del Piero!

I am not asking for much just that if Di Vaio plays he should play as a striker, Davids should not hold on to the ball for too long and put the defence under enormous pressure when he loses the ball,Montero or Ferrara should be given a day off and the much talked about great central defender, I keep hearing about but have not seen it myself Tudor should play as a central defender

I do not care who plays at left back as Inter are not as strong on the right while I disagree with Dpf as i think Di Pasquale is a great talent and will or should be looked at as a left back for the azzurri , certainly superior to that overated Coco imo

Conte should be told to sit in a corner and think about what he did on tuesday while Camo should be kicked up the backside and start producing good performances again

Well one thing is for sure we cannot be outplayed by Inter but I am not sure if they cannot outscore us as Vieri in SerieA at least in unstoppable

Incredible aint it Vieri has 21 seriea goals and 0 cl goals

Plz plz with sugar on top no lone striker please

I think ppl are making too much of that episode to mask what was a shambolic performance as the ball hit the post and he was not quick enuff to react so the ball hit him and actually it could happen to anyone

As for playing in defence well he cannot be worse than his performance in midfiled as he cannot play there , even a moron can see that, but I really do not want to see Montero and Ferrara as a pair again so soon after that performance and ppl alwasy classify Tudor as a world class defender, so I will like to see it with my 2 eyes

Dalmat, Mohammed Kallon and Domenico Morfeo are injuried for Juve Match

Mohammed Kallon will be repleced by BATISTUTA.

Morfeo will be replaced by RECOBA.

Dalmat will be replaced by CONCEICAO.

I really don't think Inter's injured players will actually be missed, especially Dalmat and Morfeo who were booed by their own fans lately

I think Juve will use it's grit & determination to win this game. They know their real quality and they should come out with 3-points. I don't want to be pessimistic, nor too confident about this game. But whatever happens in this game, it doesn't instantly prove who's the better team. Maybe for the night they are the best, but for the season, its still a long way to go. These 2 teams are doing pretty good right now. They both have their ups and downs, but the thing is, they're both on top of the table. Losing to Inter wouldn't make them greater than Juve. Nor Juve instantly prove they are greater than Inter if they come up with 3-points. Personally, I think it wouldn't be that bad to lose to a team like Inter. They are a good team. And I also think Inter wouldn't mind it if they lost against us, we are a good team. But it will be a good show. A show to all other Serie A teams that these two (Inter & Juve, Milan if you want) are the teams to beat for the scudetto.

My point is, the result of this game doesn't prove who's the better team between Juve and Inter. It just proves that both teams are above the rest. So I just hope that Juve doesn't take on too much pressure from this game, and just concetrate on playing their real game. If juve are On their Game on that night, I think we can say that the 3-points are in the bag.

The only thing lacking in the Man U game was finishing.
I think finishing was okay, I think we just hit too many woodworks. We were unlucky. It would have been a completely different story had thos balls gone in. But I have to say, Keane did a pretty decent (not good, just decent) job of containing trez. Trez did a good job too, unlucky not to get a goal though.

Zambrotta played good attacking football, but he was really unlucky on the defensive side. I believe he was fouled by Veron for the first goal. Too bad the referee didn't call it. Well, he didn't ask for it anyway.

We're gonna cream these ladies.
Let's hope for that! :D

Zambrotta. He's a very good player especially in his offensive tasks, the defending is where he sucks, so I'll agree with you to not use him in the back line. But I'm not sending him home just yet He should play instead of Camo, because he's notthe Camo from the start of the season. He's not causing any trouble on the pitch, but he's not very accurate.
I've wanted to bring up this personal observation weeks ago too. I strongly agree that Camo isn't the Camo who used to give threats to defenses during the start of the season. I have to say, he seems pretty mediocre to me at late. Specially when O'Shea was brought into the game, he was completely muscled out of it. I think Zambro would've done a better job in matching-up with O'Shea. But don't take my word for it, its just my observation/opinion.

I also want to give much much praise to Ferrara. My God! He's exceptional in defense. Ate 36, he should be training the likes of Puyol and Chivu. But he's amazing, he still plays like a prime player. He was outstanding in the ManU game.

I believe Trez is in good shape, he just misses the pair-up with Alex. Give him a few more games and Trez will start terrorizing defenses again.

Not a big fan of Oliveira. But sure, let's give him a chance to prove all the hype Moggi has built for him.

Montero is a good..okay excellent defender. Though he lacks height. He only has problems dealing with tall forwards, but besides air balls, he can handle everything. And oh, I am a fan of Montero's capabilities.

I see us winning this.

Btw, Vieri is easy to stop. As long as our defenders dont make any unnecessary mistakes, he shouldn't get his usual tap-ins.

*It's nice to be back.
