today
 for my first time back in the pool after a month of absence. For the last two weeks I've been "meaning to go" almost everyday, but finally today I managed to drag my ass there. And it was a good feeling, I've missed it. Not physically, but mentally. My day is more substantial when I've been to the pool, I feel more at peace with myself.
In a way it's a good thing I took a long break, because I had a small knee injury that I was mildly worried about, and it's gone now. My fitness after a month is pretty uneven, but it's still better than when I first started swimming about 3 months ago.

for the worst pool facilities of all time. It was horrible today, like a school trip. The high schoolers were like flies, frickin everywhere. I changed lanes I don't know how many times but it was no use. They were blocking everyone, showing no respect for pool etiquette.
The problem is if I want the best swimming the day has to offer I have to show up at 7am or 7:30 at the latest. That's asking rather a lot. At that hour it's mostly the exercise freaks who are there and there's a lot fewer of them.
