I thought we had a fantastic mercato, we signed good quality players all around.

Only problem is Allegri is still starting Mandzu as a left winger when Costa and Bernardeschi should not allow him to play there and Cuadrado can't put a run of 2 or more good games together ever in a season

When you concede 3 goals in a single half vs Sampdoria, their are bigger issues than our wingers.

But when your wingers make it feel like you are playing with 2 men down 50% of the time...I'd say that's a pretty big issue.

It also depends on Douglas Costa transfer and whether we decide to replace Buffon with oblak

i think SMS by the end of the season will be out of our reach sadly. could see him move to England for 80M+ easily so looks like we missed our chance this summer. we should try seeing whats up with Goretzka if its still open about his future. who else is even there other than that? Can looks most likely option though if man city are after him then we have to look at other options

Costa is clearly an upgrade to Mandzukic on the left wing. Faster, better dribbler, better crosser, more technically gifted, etc...

Matuidi is also an upgrade on Khedira.

The only reason those two aren't starting regularly is because Allegri is a coward afraid of change.

You sound angry. Last time I checked, this is the most successful the team has been in a long time and a lot of that is due to Allegri. Idk why people are so convinced that he's the problem this early on.

I am angry, because we are awful this season. We can only beat teams if we have way more quality than them. Any team that is half decent exposes us (Lazio, Farca). But some people will never blame the manager.

We had a winning formula when it comes to defending as an unit, you temper with that and this is what we get. I mean, even Alex Sandro is not having a good season, think about that. He was almost flawless last season.

I get mad when people start talking shit about Bonucci sucking at Milan like a defender is supposed to organize a whole defensive system on his own, a defender isn't an attacker that could dribble past half the other team players, he needs a good system to back him up. Alves offered what no other RB in this generation will offer us, an absolute destructive power going forward and solidity in the back at the same time. I said it from day one, this defense doesn't even touch what we had. And when our attack can't compensate for such a huge loss we realize how much we really fucked up this mercato.

I mean, Think Guardiola's Barcelona, they didn't have the best defensive unit in the world, in fact, most people thought it was pretty average. But his system allowed his mid and forward players to maintain the ball in their area not taking the risk of testing it's defense. Rarely when a team managed to get through that system, that's when Barcelona conceded. We've seen it happen a couple of times during their peak era.

Today, our defense isn't up to par and neither is our attack. No defensive or offensive system is really working the way it should. One can't and won't compensate for the other.
