Your theory that everything is changing constantly is wrong.
Well in my reply I think I wrote that in order to be happy one has to have a rock solid foundation inside him. I thought that was obvious that I meant there are things that can't change.

You don't need faith or any other vodoo thing to check this, just ask people who have everything are they happy? People who search for smaller materials are they happy or will they be when they find it, and what happens when they do find it, won't it start the circle all over again?

Though it's interesting thing to say, can you elaborate?
Happiness is subjective. Over time things change, so do people. To say that the pursuit of materials cannot deliver tranquility is wrong. It depends on the person.

Some things change constantly, like Android phones. But many things don't change much at all, like political theories. Or moral values. They are largely the same over the lifetime of a person.
Those things don't change much regarding an individual. However, generationally they change immensely. Compare milenials to baby boomers.

Yeah, if you take that happiness is subjective then true, though I would like to think that it's an universal feeling, same as love or fear. And then to be truly happy money or tech can't be an answer, since they are nothing, have no everlasting effect and are temporary.

You can be happy at the moment, you can by using coke, but it is not happiness temporary artificial feeling. Just like you can't cure a headache with painkillers, you have to search for the root of the problem, not painkillers that only mask it temporarily.

I tend to disagree with this point.

Materials can deliver joy, pleasure and the like to people, but tranquillity? Never. Tranquillity comes from things a lot deeper than simple material objects.

To you, perhaps. Maybe materials CAN deliver happiness and tranquility to a man. Just that that man doesn't happen to be you.

I repeat. Materials can NEVER bring tranquillity to any man. A simple breakdown in relationship with one of their loved ones will render all of the materials in the world worthless to this man that thinks materials can bring him any sort of tranquillity.

Really? I've known people who have broken up with supposed loved ones and have never been happier. Material things can bring immense joy and happiness to man. Pornography rules.

If it doesn't happen to Linebreak, the it doesn't happen to anyone else, damnit!
So you believe material possessions can bring one tranquillity?

You contradicted yourself there. They're obviously not loved ones then ;)

It's like when Lapo says, "Money can't buy love."

I tell him, "That's because you aren't paying me enough, honey!"

Sure. However, materials can act as a conduit to happiness. Deeper feelings always come from deeper places. In this era, to say that technology cannot provide happiness is just wrong. Who's to say some guys movie or video game is just as much his "fortress of solitude" as another man's mountain? The place these feeling come from don't change, however the triggers and processes do.
