With the increase of atheists world has become a worse place.
I disagree. This is by far the less violent time in human history.

Except i do think religion is necessary to the well functioning of a society. We need a way to make sense of everything, no matter how fantastic.
I disagree. Less religious societies seem happier and well off (Nordic).

Are Taliban the chads of terrorism? Defend their country from commies, defend their country from uncle sam, take country back from puppet ruler. Maybe this is why avg Afghans like and respect them.
What I say now is very controversial but I never really hated/disliked the Taliban.

Sure they're no saints and wants a strict form of Islam. But they're not ISIS who seeks out to kill anyone and everything.

Taliban wants Sharia in Afghanistan, then let them have it. It's not like they want to enforce it upon other countries, the West should never have interfered, same with the Russians.

Not all countries understand democracy or wants it. When will we learn that?

Probably their dream but I doubt we'll see them do numerous terror attacks all over the world as long as they're left alone.

If they want Sharia then let them have it. Like said, not all countries understand or wants democracy.

It's shitty for those Afghans that wants it, but there's a reason Taliban is that popular in the country.

Of course would it be wonderful to see Afghanistan as democratic and free but they don't want it.

well, hope you're right. No one would give as shit about Sharia Iran either if they weren't financing Islamic terrorism.

Not a huge fan of Biden, but wasn´t he in a lose-lose situation here? The Taliban takeover was inevitable as soon as the foreign troops were out, whether in 2021 or 2031.

Taliban was in control in 2001 before Bush, and they regained control after the Americans left. Are the Americans supposed to stay there forever? This peaceful transition in cooperation with Taliban was never going to happen anyways, whether with Trump, Biden whoever.

An Afghan friend also told me countries like China, Iran, Pakistan and some of the Arabian Peninsula were happy for Taliban to gain control to get rid of the American influence/presence in the region for good.
It wouldn’t have happened like this under trump. Biden is the most confuse American President in history.

I somewhat agree. USSR and Murica brought the war into their home and yet unlike from the daesh there were barely if any terror attacks on foreign soil. Also from what I heard they arent even gonna persecute other religions. Hate them for obvious reasons but without a doubt a Taliban rule is better than Nato 'protection' or a puppet ruler for Afghanistan.
