Chemo started today, now all we can do is hope and pray.

Update nr1:

First 3 days of chemo are done (Monday - Wednesday), he says he is feeling a bit better with regard to breathing and caughing.
The chemo doesn't bother him too much, only tired very fast, but that's about it.
And since his next treatement starts 06/02, he is going on holiday for a week to Tenerife .

Keep you guys/girls updated.

My dad had lung cancer. Had surgery, chemo at different times and radiation as well. He had a very aggressive cancer and they didn't give him much time. He proved them wrong for over 10 years. He had a decent quality of life within that time as well. Just have to stay positive and fight.

Ya he was dedicated in fighting me off. Always wanted me or my bro to go with him to the doctors meetings. I think it really gave him strength to know that we knew exactly what was going on. I really believe family attitude towards it has a lot to do with the process.

As I remember it, the tiredness is a constant throughout the process, as it was for my mum, but it's great that he has the holiday in Tenerife to look forward to (oddly enough my mother's favourite place to visit as well).
