Update nr1:

First 3 days of chemo are done (Monday - Wednesday), he says he is feeling a bit better with regard to breathing and coughing.
The chemo doesn't bother him too much, only tired very fast, but that's about it.
And since his next treatment starts 06/02, he is going on holiday for a week to Tenerife :).

Keep you guys/girls updated.
Glad to hear your dad is benefiting from the Chemo, Ches! I hope he enjoys his holiday!

When my dad was ill he forced us all to go on a family trip. Glad he did. We say my nona's 100th birthday and got to spend time with his old friends and family. Came back rejuvenated. I'm sure it'll do him good.

So, the first checkup after his first chemo was yesterday.
The white corpuscles in his blood were almost back on a normal level (which means the cancer isn't active anymore) and his breathing als was imprved a lot.

Next week Monday, chemo partII and the radiation will start but the first signs are positive.

Very glad to hear it! :) My gf's grandmother started chemo recently as well, they're very close. We're hoping for the best but from what I understand in her case the odds are good.
