thanks all, we expected much worse news since my dad has a history of smooking a lot and working with asbestos in the past so I guess this outcome isn't all that bad, now all we can hope for is that the treatments will do their thing..

treatment will most liekly slow it down, but you really have to be strong and support him as it's an extremely diffuclt and debilitating process.

So I heard yes, but that won't be a problem, everything what is necessary, and within my possibilities, I will do.

Fuck. Sorry to hear about this Chester, I hope everything works out fine and the treatments do their thing. It's a steep road ahead, but with the right support you can help to make it easier, I've been in a similar situation. Stay strong man!

As I said last week, my dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
Just now, we got the results of all the tests and here is the verdict:

It's an agressive, evil cancer, but, with chemotherapy and radiation, also a cancer which most of the time, is cureable.
So all in all, it could have been worse, now we hope that the treatments have their effects.
    Hey Chester, Thanks for sharing.

The glass is half full attitude will serve you well! Best of luck with everything mate!

Sorry to hear it mate, it's a horrible thing to suffer through. My mother had breast cancer a few years back and pulled through fine thanks to the radiation treatment and chemo. I'm not the praying type but I will definitely say one for your father and family, best wishes
