he wouldn't look right in a roma jersey
Talk about understatement. Roma would be a disaster, I shiver at the thought of him playing for that scum. Hell, even Milan would be awful. At least with Inzaghi there was some sense of mutual agreement about it, he was on his way out because Trez was better, and there was friction with him and DP. I'm really glad how things turned out for Pippo. But dammit, Trez cannot go!

Well, this coming season was really going to be the year for Davii, D'Agostino's vison, and a high chance of Giovinco getting more playing time means more opportunities, having said that he hardly needs any opportunities to score, that's what he does. I mean, he was the second highest scorer the year before with 20 goals, where does this dis-regard come from? It's ridiculous because Trez can go in over drive and be in poachers heaven this coming season.

For the time being it's all just media speculation.

There will be a meeting with Trez and the club in the next days (weeks) and the ultimate decision lies with Trez himself.

Let's hope he decides to stay because there is just no reasonably priced alternative out there.

Trez leaving will be sadder than regulation to B!!

Personally, I believe Trez is super fitted for Juve! NO better poacher could ever play for us .. NOT even RVN at his prime! I cursed Ranieri at least 1000 times for not playing Trez.. Amauri is good alright BUT he'd never be as half as good as Trez! When we first bought Amauri I thought he'd only be our second string striker to tinker with when Trez is tired or injured .. That was the case partially BUT I still believe that Ranieri didn't use him as he should've done!

As good? No. What he reached this year is Iaquinta at Udinese's level. To be as good as Trez, I wanna see him bang in over 20 goals for us.
As good no, not yet, but think about the playing minutes from Iaquinta. That was absolutely not 90 minutes every game. And STILL he is important for us. If it was up to me, I would sell Amauri. Not because he's bad or something but I rate Trez and Iaquinta higher. Besides I never understand the transfer from Amauri. Again, he is a good striker BUT with Trez and Iaq we had a decent couple. When it was up to me I hadn't bought Amauri but a good backup for Del Piero. G.Rossi was a good candidate and MUCH cheaper!

Is it sad that another Juve player became as good?

I absolutely love Iaquinta, and I'd keep him here just for his approach and attitude at Juventus. But to compare him to Trezeguet is out of the question. What he's done for one season, cannot match what David has done for us year in and year out for almost a decade. A level of consistency being that lethal is something no current new squad player can compare with. Not Iaquinta, not Amauri, not Gio. In fact I dont think they'd compare even after their time with Juve, because Trez's type of players are more the exception than the rule in this generation of football players. Trez has proven and delivered over a period of time. His era and his standing at Juventus is with that of the other legends here: namely Del Piero, Buffon, Nedved and Camoranesi.

Forza Davide.
