It's always the same history about Trez: "he is too slow", "he is too old", "let's sell him", "let's trade him for...", etc, at the end, everyone celebrates his goals

Precisely. No one needs to defend Trezeguet's position in the lineup. He missed 2/3 of last season after recovering from surgery and he never really got a chance with Ranieri after tearing it up last season. You'll see what happens next year. If this train is bound for glory, Trezeguet will be the fucking conductor.

Why do you guys think we're trying to sell Trez?

The only logical reason would be his medical record. I hoped Ferrara will tell the board that he wants to keep Trez, but it looks like it's not happening. Could it be that we know how Trez is surely going to have the same injury very soon and that his career is practically over? He did have serious injuries on both his knees.

But even if that's the case, it's too unfair to get rid of a legend that way. Maybe it's a mutual decision and Trez also wants out, knowing that his place in the team isn't guaranteed anymore?

The thing is that the medical literature is a bit divided on what to do with patellar tendinosis in football players. The outcome of the surgery isn't typically good either and it's not known what rehab programme is best. It was also the second time they worked on that tendon, which must mean there is some structural weakness behind it. So either it's hard to figure out what weakness or it's difficult to correct that weakness. I don't think the future is that bright for Trez medically speaking.

I do not think the board is really trying to sell Trez.

I'm pretty sure it will be his own decision. If he wants to stay, he'll stay. If he wants out, the club (management) won't make things difficult for him and they'll let him go.

This is confusing really.
1. we sure could use the money.
2. The guy is a living legend.

If it was for me I would chose no. 2 for sure. But with us and our financial status.. I don't know!

you first point isn't correct. if we sell we can earn 10 mil at max. we can't start a new season with 3 strikers so we must sign another one. so we must use the 10 mil to sign someone else. and with 10 mil you don't sign some world class player...

the other thing that is disappointing. is that so many wears we played with wingers and we complained cause treze didn't create chances. it's the first year that our system has chanced and that it seems we will have a very creative midfield next year, and our best striker may leave. that is dissapointing...

True. But its not like we are selling only him though.
We have offers for other guys too.

Anyhow.. like mentioned before it is down to Trez and Ferrara at the end of the day.

yes but trezeguet selling you will lose. you sell a striker for 10 mil and you need way more to sign someonoe as good treza was...

so its is neither good from a financial point of view nor good from a quality point the view. the only reason that trezeguet can go is if he wants it. then we can only thank him and with him luck...

I really think that we can sell him for more than a 10m, I mean if Fraizer Campbell can cost 6m pounds, than we can take at least double for Trez. Ofcourse if we sell him to some premiership club.

But the thing is that I really don't us to loose him. He is a champion, great player and our legend (not to mention my fav player). Still if it's only Trezguet's decision to leave us than we shouldn't keep him against his will.

Players in the EPL are hugely overpriced. No one outside EPL would pay 1mil for Campbell.

Didn't Trez say, since Ferrara was appointed he would like to honor his contract with Juventus?

I know, and that's why if he wants to leave or if want to sell, we should sell him to Premiership. Plus not to say how disgusting would be to see him in Roma or Milan shirt :inter:

And as I know, they've said that they want to sit with our board and discuss anou his future.

Seriously if Trez does want to leave then Secco better make some deal with Lyon. One year from now i can see a star striker & solid CB as the priority signings so might as well strike a deal for Benzema.
