I dont believe that he insists to leave.
Ferrara respects him and despite the fact that he cannot guarantee a starter's spot.
I am sure that he is going to use him far more than CR did.
With all this support coming from the offensive formation and extra AMF, Treze could be used far more efficiently!
And the competition in all those competition will give him enough time, if Ciro uses the rotation properly!
you first point isn't correct. if we sell we can earn 10 mil at max. we can't start a new season with 3 strikers so we must sign another one. so we must use the 10 mil to sign someone else. and with 10 mil you don't sign some world class player...
the other thing that is disappointing. is that so many wears we played with wingers and we complained cause treze didn't create chances. it's the first year that our system has chanced and that it seems we will have a very creative midfield next year, and our best striker may leave. that is dissapointing...
We sold Inzaghi to Milan, Ibrahimović to Inter, Mutu to Fiorentina, so now we have to complete our mission of strenghtening direct opponents with great strikers and sell Trez to Roma.
I just feel like we should give Trez at least one more year and let him leave on a high instead of after an injury plagued season where he never played. If anything it will help his value increase and we would be able to get a better price for him next summer. No point in selling him now for half his value. Personally, I wouldn't sell him ever because with his style of play, he can play at the top level for 5 more seasons probably. I would only sell him if we could get an adequate player in exchange (like Benzema).
i don't think waiting until next year would be a good idea if you intend to sell him. every year that passes by only depreciates his selling price. he is getting older and thus there is a direct correlation with age/price. if we are to vend him, then it must be now because we won't get much value nor a good player like benzema in the future.
you guys know that i am against losing david but if it has to be done then now is the time.
Well I wouldn't be so against it if we had a replacement that would be able to do an equally good job. Iaquinta and Amauri are great...but neither of them are pure poachers. When Juve sold Baggio they had Del Piero as his replacement. When they sold Zidane they bought Nedved (in addition to several other key players).
When you sell a top quality player, you need to bring in someone of equal or greater quality. If they sold Trez they would need to sign a striker who scores 20+ goals a year. They wouldn't necessarily need to be a poacher...but a proven goal scorer. Iaquinta or Amauri could probably do it...but they're different types of strikers than Trez. And right now, I don't know of any strikers we could get who would be on the same level as Trez for the money we would get for him.
Basically, Trez is worth more on the field than the money we would get for him.
If he leaves, he won't join another Italian club, I don't believe that.
If he leaves, it will be for a club outside of Italy.
But, I don't think he will be sold, there is no player available with his qualities and Ferrara knows this also.

I actually believe he just might join a rival club. This board never had a good rapport with him and he just might repay them back. I would hate to see it, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see him in a Roma jersey.
