Also, his main problem was not that he didnt have a good relationshipw ith the board...... but was with ranieri.

It doesnt matter if secco, giggli and blanc hate trez, as long as Ferrara demands him staying and as long as he plans to use him, Trez will stay and do good.

This last season had a combination of problems for Ttrez, but if things go our way, the next season he will have a coach who knows him in a personal level, and a service of high quality to ensure that he will be getting at least 2 clear goal chances pergame... which is all what trez on his good days need IMO.

Ferrara is no dumb, i dont think he iwll let a legend like trez go.... unless the boards do something really nasty with him and sell him no matter what.

I want Trez to stay, but we should all be aware of the fact that this is an emotional call. I don't expect anything from him really. I sure hope he will perform next year, but we have to be honest.

I agree. I don't believe he can offer the team too much right now, I currently rate Iaquinta much higher than Trez to be perfectly honest. I think we should sell him soon. I love the guy and all, but he is just not up to it anymore.

With Diego in the team, we will probably opt for a 4-5-1 and I doubt he will see too much playing time.

Ferrara has alredy said that we are going to use the 4-3-1-2 formation... formation in wich Trez has probe to be very good at.

Trez likely to be traded

Juventus want to use David Trezeguet as bait either for Manchester City midfielder Elano or Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.

The 31-year-old Frenchman spent most of the season out injured following a double knee operation.

On returning to first team action he argued with Claudio Ranieri and ever since then his future has been in doubt.

Interest in Trezeguet is high and Juventus want to extract more than just cash from any potential deal for him.

“At the moment, I am only thinking about the holidays. However, in a few days I will return to Europe,” Trezeguet told Calciomercato.com.

“As for the rest, we will see later on. Everything will be discussed in due course. We are dealing with a very important situation because I have been in Turin for nine years.

“With regard to me, I know I will present myself for a meeting with Juventus on July 3,” Trezeguet revealed.

“It has not been a positive season for me largely thanks to the knee injury. In the second half of the season, after the operation, I had problems with Ranieri. He did not make me play.

“This bitter season has given me something position, though. I recovered well and inside me there is a great desire to play and score either for Juve or another team that gives me the chance to be a protagonist.”

On being asked about his new boss Ciro Ferrara, Trezeguet replied: “We have known each other for a long time.

“I have been very clear both with him and the directors. We will see what happens in the future,” he concluded.

It's obvious he wants to stay. It's also obvious he wants to play. It all depends on Ferrara and what assurances he can give him. I hope this gets resolved, I really think he can give a lot next season with a different midfield and game approach.

You'd know, vlatko. Every year it's the same thing, during the season when he's fit and scoring everyone loves him, and during the summer they say it's time for him to move on. He ends up staying and scoring even more goals for Juve, which is good for all of us. With D'Agostino and Diego he'd be getting plenty of service next season too, he'd thrive on this.

Trezeguet is still one of the most (if not the most) lethal players inside the box. Additionally, he is one of the best target players in the past few years. His understanding with Del Piero goes beyond any other partnership I have seen before. They have scored 41 goals in the Serie A the season before with a mediocre midfield. This season suffered from an injury that kept him away most of the season. So in this case, we really cannot judge him for his low performance. HE DID NOT EVEN PLAY.
People were shouting keep Tiago last season because he was not playing enough while mind you he was not injured. Meaning he was not training well. On the other hand, Trezeguet is a proven world class who has not played alot last season due to injury. HE SHOULD STAY. While Tiago should go to the nearest ...........

Absolutely!

Let's not wate money on a new striker. Let's allow David to sit down with Ferrara and really sort his position at the club out once and for all. He has still a lot to offer.

Then, let's get the D'Agostino deal sorted, David would indeed thrive on the service he and Diego would provide.

It'll only be natural to be honest. :D

Well from the interview Davii has already been clear to Ferrara of his demands, it's just a matter of Ferrara's personal choice. With their history Ciro should know how prolific he is, and make the right choice. You say D'Agostino, but Diego is going to be the key in my opinion, he'll be higher up the pitch in a more free role; with Trez's off the ball run's and positioning Diego should combine with him really well. Just look at his stats for assists in the Bundesliga.

Looks like we'll have to wait a few more weeks to get some real info since the meeting has been postponed till July 3rd.
Everything we'll hear or read in the meantime is just media speculation.

I have a feeling he'll stay. Let's hope my feeling is correct.

What about getting KJH to replace Trez?
Not really needed.

I don't know if he really wants to stay when he says something like that:
But he did also say:
“I recovered well and inside me there is a great desire to play and score either for Juve or another team that gives me the chance to be a protagonist.”
So, he hasn't completely given up on the idea of staying either.

What I meant is that analyzing what he said is silly because it doesn't mean anything, it can be that he wants to stay or leaves. I believe that he will meet with Ferrara and Ciro will convince him to stay.

People have mentioned this before. Trez basically says this (or his agent, perhaps more accurate to say) every summer. He's playing this game to get assurances and sometimes to get a raise and be convinced that he's wanted. It doesn't mean he really plans to go (although again he has been close to leaving several times in the past). It basically amounts to "don't take me for granted".

from tuttosport

to cut things short, his agent said that secco told him that trez is off the market
