But it's not a new thing. It's not like it came out of nowhere. Ever since covid popped up they had quite strict measures even when nobody had them.
Man, I have a feeling they are in a better position if something drastic happens, like a new variant which will be the biggest media fear ever. They are so drilled they will have no problem while Europe and US are gonna crumble

* get enough sleep
* meditatie to learn to manage stress

It’s the zero tolerance approach. On the upside, they were able to avoid the masks and distancing that have been chronic in most places with half-measures that tried to manage their way through the mess.
The downside is that it’s a dam break scenario. And because people were able to be complacent and do “normal life things” for long periods while much of the world hasn’t been able to, vaccinations haven’t had the same urgency until now.
The most dangerous part is that Australasia is like a giant side of beef thrown in a river of piranhas. To the virus, it’s a whole continent of fresh virgin meat it has yet to sink its teeth into.

First of all: there aren't many countries where (a big) majority has been fully vaccinated, so that's a bit of a moot point right now.
And yes, a 3rd shot or booster shot may very well be useful for "weaker" people, as their antibodies do seem to decrease significantly after 6 or so months.
As for caring about the minority, the point used to be how big that minority actually was. Whereas with the delta variant, a small minority looks like it could be enough for shit to hit the fan once more. So that's why people care. Even more so than 6 months ago, I guess.
Simply put:
Less people vaccinated => more virus circulation => most likely more people sick/in hospital/dead => probably more & more severe lockdowns

I don't like repeating myself, but like I said yesterday, restrictions could mean any number of things. From a severe lockdown for everyone to small restrictions only for the unvaccinated. And everything in between.
I'm perfectly fine with restrictions for the unvaccinated for the time being/next few months. Not indefinitely, obviously.
